I'm not sure if "not sure if trolling or serious" is being used correctly when in reference to someone not recognizing an internet meme no one should really expected to know.
Memes should really go through some kind of quality control standard and then get released as a quarterly journal or something.

5/7 is fairly ubiquitious in my echo chamber, I'm afraid, so rather assumed it was generally known. Genuinely wasn't sure if it was a bite, therefore.
Damn it, I thought there was a standard meme distribution. Somebody get on that peer reviewed meme journal.

Pretty sure that goes a little counter to the whole idea of something being, ya know, memetic.

@Caggles That's okay. I googled it. I know more now than I did yesterday!

I have not seen much said about it here, but for you sci-fi buffs who liked movies like Moon and 2001, Ad Astra is a pretty decent movie that also has a great character-focused story.

At the same time, a person's evolutionary pattern for PME sort of precludes the need for a careful study for longevity.

In preparation for Underwater this weekend I rewatched Leviathan, The Abyss, and Deep Star Six.
OMG Deep Star Six was godawful. I LOVED it when I was younger, but like Buckaroo Banzai rewatching it as an adult it doesnt hold up well at all.

Cats was fantastic.
Granted, I love the musical. I always have. I like the ballet, I like interpretive dance β I love it all. As such, Iβm biasedCrucial to understanding our differences of opinion on the work is the fact that its music was never mentioned in your post.

Of course not. Music is something I don't fight about with people. Some people like Cardi B, for instance, and I find her rapping to be hot garbage.
I have found that many people get hung up on any of the songs with the word "jellicle" in it. That's fine, but nonsense words are: (1) sort of what the modernist poets, like T.S. Eliot, were all about; and (2) perfectly crumulent in a musical number. That aside, if you like the music in the musical, you will probably really like Hudson's Memory and, of course, Grizabella the Glamour Cat,* while hating Swift's version of Macavity or the fact that they turned Skimbleshanks into a tap number (but it sort of makes sense, I suppose, for the railway cat).
I really liked what they did for Magical Mr. Mistoffles. Sir McKellen kills it as Gus the Theatre Cat,** but I am just flabbergasted and appalled that they elected to remove/alter Growltiger's Last Stand (because of racist performances back in the 80s). Hated Wilson; tolerated Corden; and am in love with Hayward.
If I read another person's comment about Dench's "unnecessary" fourth wall break, I swear I'm going to scream.
*- This was based on the poem given to ALW by Eliot's literary executor, and was excluded from the Old Possum book because it was too sad for children. The song opens with an except from Eliot's Rhapsody on a Windy Night, and is a wicked bitch to sing.
**- When you listen to it, close your eyes and imagine Sir McKellen quietly singing as a doddering old actor seeking to be reborn to tell more stories to a new generation.

not even modern. We have so many words in our modern lexicon that were nonsense when Shakespeare wrote them.

I'm fine with Jellicle Cats, who come out at night and dance at the Jellicle ball. I had a gorgeous illustrated book of Growltiger's Last Stand, Jellicle Cats, and the Aweful Battle of the Pekes and the Pollicles as a child (my avatar is actually Errol Le Cain's masterful GREAT RUMPUS CAT from the very same book).
I love the text of the poems. I just cordially despise ALW's addiction to melodramatic excess. And this is from a fan of Les Mis.

Well that looks pretty awesome. Rahne's supposed to be gay for Illyana, though, not Dani.
Anyone else getting a Silent Hill 2 (the game, not the movie) vibe from it? Like the facility is haunted not by a ghost or demons, but by their own sins and self-judgment?

Like the first 20-30 books in the first run of new mutants? Where it's the demon bear that's after Dani that's stimulating those fears?

I never read the original run. So this looks like a translation of that series?

An interpretation at least. A few things changed but yeah looks close to that story with less comedy comic parts.

This movie called 'A Ghost Story' turned out to be not at all what I expected and in the end, I thought it was a really neat film.

Just watched Inception again (haven't watched it in a few years). So fucking good.
