The 'time' thing has been interacting with quarantine in a weird way.

On the one hand, everyone else is FREAKING OUT that they've been stuck for months now, but for me, like, is that a thing? Y'know, time passing. Whatever.

On the other hand, without work forcing me to know what day it is and which of those days I need to be somewhere else, I have come adrift. Days start and end. My life is vaguely measured in podcasts.

I generally have no idea what day of the week it is. And most of the time, quarantine is pretty whatever.

But other weeks seem to go on forever and ever and ever (last week did for sure).

@Rinel — For what it's worth, that's apparently a very common experience among trans women who have ADHD.

That's worth a ton. I have to make a medicine choice and I'm scared for lots of reasons, one of which is that I'm frightened it will prove I don't have ADHD and I'm just lazy and awful. Seeing this helps.

@Rinel Not every medicine has the same effect on everyone, so medication alone isn't going to prove or disprove anything. But that feeling of "but what if it's not ADHD and it's just me..." is SUPER common among folks going through the diagnostic process as adults. Years of negative feedback takes a toll.

It's also not uncommon for folks to first experience the effects in high school and college. The further you go through education, the less regimented things become and the more you have to manage your own work. That's when the executive functioning challenges of ADHD really kick in. So really, you're not alone.

@Wretched To be fair, we have to have much more willpower anyway.

To, y'know... not bludgeon these people with a claw hammer.

And that's before the whole impulsivity facet is considered, dammit.

                    Oh fucking well.

Having one of those evenings where I am immensely restless but nothing can capture my attention for more than a few minutes. I feel like I'm crawling in my own skin.
