The Good Place is still that good. I like any show that doesn’t back down from a challenging plot, even if that plot isn’t trying to push boundaries or rip from the headlines.
Depends on what you mean by 'push boundaries'. The Good Place is probably the most educational show on broadcast TV.

I learn more from Colbert and Meyers, but I mean that it's not set up to do anything that pushes the comfort level of the audience. It may do so anyhow, but it's a bit late to be complaining on how edgy Philippa Foot's thought-experiments are.

Are you suggesting that doing so is inherently bad? I can think of several shows that are all about that, and are quite popular.

No.

So can I.

My SO started watching Noragami Season 2, without me, much disappointment ensued.

YATOKOUFUKU BEST GOD! -
There are time where if i find a good show, I will binge it without my wife, and then watch it again with her. The reason being is that, while I love my wife, i want to enjoy the show and get hella enganged in it without having to pause while she asks me questions like 'Who is that' and 'Where are they' to which I inevitably have to answer 'My Love, we both just started watching this, i have the exact same amount of information, just watch the show!' But you know, with more specialized language because of our many many years together. So now whenever there's a show I really wanna see, I totally skip ahead, I'm just prepared to watch it again for our hanging out together time.
-
I wouldn’t mind if someone started watching a show without me.
As long as they are okay with watching it again with me.

Act I
Gany Bae: Who's that?
Ganymede: I don't know.
Gany Bae: I thought you knew everything about comic books.
Ganymede: I thought you didn't like me talking about comics.
Gany Bae: Why are you so mean to me?
Ganymede: Why do you trap me into situations where there is no right answer?
Gany Bae: So, you want me to start cooking for you now?
Ganymede: Why do you trap me into situations where there is no right answer?
Gany Bae: I hate you.
Ganymede: Of course you do. You like Edward Albee too.FIN.

@aria Have you read the books, btw?
I have not, but they're probably going on my (hahahahaha) to read list, which is currently about 140 books long.
Also, @Wretched? My mother does that. And it drives me batshit, because the conversation inevitably ends up going something like this:
Ari-mom: Who's that?
Aria: I have no idea.
Ari-mom: Why not?
Aria: I literally turned the TV on and started watching this at the same time you did.
Ari-mom: Oh. Alright!A few minutes later:
Ari-mom: I don't understand what's going on! Explain to me what that guy there is doing.
Aria: Same amount of information you have, Mom.
Ari-mom: What did he just say?
Aria: I have no idea. I couldn't hear the TV over us talking. That last one is my personal favorite. Because I am an awesome, multi-tasking millenial, it seems I'm expected to have developed the amazing superpower of carrying on a ten minute conversation with her while also processing whatever is happening in the show and simultaneously explaining it to her as some sort of live commentary feed.
I keep it in a drawer right next to my ability to give her step by step instructions, over the phone, on how to repair her iPad -- a piece of technology I've never used, because my tablet is made by Samsung.
She is adorable and also I want to strangle her. ^_^
-
@aria This is also my mother. This is why I try not to watch things with her.
She is also bad at football games.
Mom: That was pass interference!
Everyone else: No, it wasn't.
Mom: Well, it should have been. She'd like the rules changed to benefit her team, please.
My father concedes to take her to a movie approximately once or twice a year. This will be something like Star Wars or Marvel, because then he can confidently be like, "No, that's not how this works." when she comes up with a question out of left field. Usually this is a movie that he watched without telling her during a business trip.

I just need to keep saying this: THE GOOD PLACE!!
I love this show so forkin' much. It's breaking all my rules about watching a show that is currently airing (I hate having to wait week to week, season to season). I want to marry Janet. I love her.

MAXIMUM DEREK -
I so want to spoil this show with all the Derek quotes I can remember, but I don't want to spoil this show.
-
The Good Place really is excellent, the writing is so good and they obviously did have a (crazy) plan in place right from the start. I love it.
-
Black Lightning was fun.
I watched the first episode - and agreed, it was quite fun.
I think whether it goes into my tier 1 pile will depend on its villains. He can't keep fighting gang members and street toughs forever, let's see what they got cooking, especially once post-pilot TV budget concerns go up against production values.

You must be easily frustrated by anime. Those things have a boil slower than taking a lighter to the bottom of a bathtub.
-
@thenomain I don't watch anime, so I guess I'm spared the frustration.

Finally got around to finishing the 4th season of Black Mirror, some of them were good, but not a lot of real shock and awe factor like some of the earlier season episodes. Still, glad to have seen it and will watch Season 5 when it comes.
