So. Not really 'love' but funny.

This was at my local HPB.

@bobotron I've the original. In fact it's easily one of the top 3 oWoD books I own, and probably the top favorite at that - the other two being the Complete Guide to the Camarilla/Sabbat.

I absolutely love oWoD Mage theme. It's amazing.

I have a copy of Ascension Revised. I was just surprised to see a 20th Anniversary book at HPB.

@bobotron Agreed, in fact I didn't even know these things weren't all print on demand. When I went over like, a year ago to ask for a copy of Werewolf 2.0 at a major hobby store in Toronto the owner not only didn't have any, he didn't even know where I could get one other than from online.

They are only PoD though, at least right now (I've heard tell of a retailer program, but have never heard any detail of it). It's obviously used though, so someone offloaded it. I know a local who offloads his stuff all the time when he has money problems, so he's the likely source of it (his new MET Vampire is there, for example).

I love forgetting I entered a giveaway, only to then be notified that I won.

So this miiiiight belong in the TV section, but I think the message is the point, and I think it's one of my favorite videos on women's empowerment ever.

But don't take my word for it. There's a reason Lagertha is so awesome.

What is a woman's place in this world?

The Trumps asked the Guggenheim to borrow a Van Gogh for their private living quarters in the White House. The Guggenheim responded by offering to let them borrow the 24K gold toilet they have on display, instead. 😄 😄 😄

Adam Ant. Sixty-three years old and still colossally sexy.

Was worth every penny to see him perform for nearly two hours, and it was no small amount of pennies.

Two years ago, I wrote to the Swedish embassy asking for a declaration of citizenship to find out whether or not I was still a Swedish citizen (surprise! I am).

A year ago, I submitted paperwork to get a coordination number (basically, it's me registering myself with the Swedish population) so I could apply for a Swedish passport. This is something that typical takes 10-12 weeks but .. didn't. I don't know why it took so long for me. It might have been because this is something that parents usually do for their minor children, not something that people do for themselves when they are old AF like me. Anyway. It finally came through.

Now I have an appointment with the Embassy in DC to get my Swedish passport/ID card which I am super excited about -- not just because this is finally happening but also because I will get to visit a friend of mine that I haven't seen in years in the process.

My 2 y/o has discovered a pair of my wife's thigh high socks. He's pulled each one on and is now proudly strutting around the house in these pink and grey striped things, while enthusiastically talking on his toy phone.

He's made this tired morning much better.

@Lithium Well .. I'm not going to completely derail the RL Lovefest thread but I will say that Sweden has its problems as well. Still! It's nice to know that I have options. If I was single, I would move (at least to give it a shot) but I am fairly certain my husband would have a hard time over there (the Swedish reserve/conformity/rules would be a difficult adjustment for him while I would be like 'I would embrace you, my Introverted brethren! But .. we don't do that so I will just smile inwardly as I ignore you from over here while obeying all these very sensible rules aaaaaaaaahhhhh yuuuuuuuuus sweet, sweet bureaucracy')

I love the people who run the Werewolf the Apocalypse LARP in town. It's small (but hopefully growing), but hella fun. I feel like it helped that 1. the staff come from a boffer LARP background so designing WtA stuff isn't super foreign to them, and 2. they played for nearly the entirety of the Masquerade LARP I ran, so they also understand the differences between a boffer LARP and a WoD LARP. I am loving my Shadow Lord Philodox Homid, who is a mid-50s corporate lawyer who changed way late.

ETA: Honestly, I love the politics and backstabby and stuff of vampire... but I kinda feel like the 'us against the crashing tide' angle of Werewolf is refreshing, and that the politicking that happens (for rank, for positions, etc.) is interesting because of the things that you DON'T do in Werewolf that you do in Vampire.

                                    Some typos are best typos.

Trading email with my mother this morning, re: my father's birthday, and if she has any plans I should ready myself for:

"Today is super bowel. Not a good day to go out."

I love you, Mom. So much I totally just pretended I didn't see that in the reply, but it still made me grin and giggle because sometimes a well-placed typo is just priceless, and thus I had to share with the fellow language geeks here.

                                    Oh fucking well.

A couple of friends of mine in the subculture I'm in are going through an extremely rough patch, and I managed to rope in a much more famous person (tm) to assist me in putting together a network of fundraising club nights and such. Another mutual friend is spearheading a compilation CD release. Much More Famous Person put up a GoFundMe, and we've brought in almost $2,000 in a couple of hours. So, hooray, goth-industrial fans are NOT just a bunch of apathetic scenesters!

There's a starman waiting in the sky,
He'd like to come to meet us
But he thinks he'd blow our minds.
