MFGG's cover of Goodbye Earl is fucking amazing.

the comforting thought that the average human life-span being roughly 70 means i only have to endure another 58 years of excruciatingly unforgivable pain before experiencing the sweet release of death

Okay, Agent Orange may have been Mike Palm and the All-Stars but thinking about it I don't think I've ever seen Agent Orange that wasn't an aging Mike Palm and two younger people playing the Living in Darkness album. For all his abuse, Joe Queer of the Queers looks in better health than me. I still had a good time heckling Agent Orange mercilessly until they played 'I Kill Spies'.
Conversely The Toasters show last month was great but bittersweet as I remember when The Toasters had a full horn section, keyboard, and crowded every stage with so many members. It was weird to see it drop to a five piece band but I think ska is pretty played out unless there's yet another revival percolating that I haven't heard about.
It was just nice to get out to some shows and see a few bands I haven't seen since the 90's. -

But then you have awesome stuff like this heavy metal cover of Boombastic, which is amazing.
Woah, woah.
I need this.
Who did the cover? -

I've got a bit of 'frayed nerves' going on from being in week 2 of migraines.
The cat is being very 'nurse cat' today. Lots of snuggles. Insisting on being near me. And the comes in that even though I've been short with her, she's persisted.

To balance out the 'still having migraines,' I found out at the Dr's that I passed my last weight plateau. Been stuck at a specific spot for a few months now and weighed in at 5lbs under that previous.
Plateaus suck. Getting over them, however, is pretty awesome.

If you cut off your head, you could solve both problems!
I'm kidding. Don't cut your head off.

So, I'm now a music producer.
Well…
OK, then, you got it out of me. I'm contributing to a crowdfunded musical project.
Musically this is very much on the dividing line between "too saccharine" and "potentially interesting". I'm banking with this that they put their most commercial sound forward for the project advertising. If I'm right, I have some interesting music that two women produced without a label and without the near-slavery that is typical of music industry contracts. If I'm wrong, I spent about $25 (I paid for the highest level) to help two women produce the music they wanted rather than what some soulless shit record exec thinks that the public wants. It's a win from my standpoint either way.
This is my third crowd-funded project from that site; the first two were far less risky in that they were wargames published by people whose work I already knew. I know next to nothing about these two except that at least one of them is involved in some way with television.
