My sister has a white 'boxer/cocker spaniel' --- it's a pitbull people. My sister is like no it's a boxer. I explain to her that pit's are amazing dogs and that her fluffykins is one of them. We've had this debate for three years on and off. I finally send her a picture of a white pit with tan spots and nothing else. Finally, I get -- FINE. She's a pit!
But she does the grunting thing and tries to crawl in my lap when I'm around. She's not mine but I'm one of (if not her top) preferred people. It makes me happy when animals are like YOU. You are my person.

For all my life I have used regular shampoo. Had problems with dry ass scalp giving me flakes as a teen, the worst dryest split ends... and now for a couple weeks I have been using low shampoo, or cleansing cream (ok, aka afro shampoo) and I am absolutely in love.
The road to hell is paved with adverbs.

So after a major health incident, my hair began going curly (I talked to a stylist once and apparently this is rare but does happen sometimes; it's a similar 'shock to the system' that gives some people white streaks). Like, we're talking I went from a 1B to where there are days my hair is going into a 2C (with hella high frizz factor). I've spent the last few years just trying to figure out how the fuck to handle curls because for 30 years I've never had them. And I'm a white girl. The white girl method of curls is 'straighten your hair and then curl it.'

My hair did the same thing. I mean its falling out how due to hormones (getting better now i think but we will see in 3 or 4 months) but... it was a very weird experience. Especially at the back of my neck i have spiral curls. Like where the fuck did yall come from? -
I have this little cat named Pazuzu. She's black, roughly oval balloon-shaped, with short, stubby little legs and tail and long black fur. She's always been kind of a weird cat, and this summer she went off her food for a couple of days and got all spiney and sucked up until I manhandled her and forced her to eat/take fluids.
Ever since then she's made a nest on the top of the couch back cushion I sit at the most and she always rolls over to stick her legs out so she pushes her feet (gently and without claws) against my back, not quite sponging but still kneading, kind of right between my shoulder blades.
I'm so grateful for these 'cat massages', it's unreal.
