When my husband asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I replied, "To be Lin-Manuel Miranda's bestie."

The move is done.

It was hard. I think I strained my ankle. I'm going to be out of spoons (yay fibro!) for the next few days, at least. My hands are so sore and stiff I couldn't make a fist even if I wanted to.

But it's done.
I have a working dishwasher now.
I get two weeks alone before the roommate arrives (I haven't 'lived alone' since 2007, so even two weeks is novel).

And I wrapped up the evening sitting around eating pizza and bullshitting with my fellow Ingress players who helped me out. That made up for everything else. I'm really bad at being able to tell if people actually like me or are just being nice. I figure if you volunteer to help someone move, you like them.

We've been playing Hunter the Vigil for about 7 months and really enjoying it.
Last week we roasted a coven of witches. Basement gas leak. Very unfortunate.
We're traveling out to Hollywood tomorrow to investigate rumors of a troop of Toreador that have been producing really bad movies.

My collection of weird-ass playing cards has expanded.

This is radically different in character from the others (aside from being weird and trippy, I mean). These are hand-made cards finished with tung oil. This gives them a lovely feel and scent. Unfortunately the tung oil is quite fresh on these and will require some more curing before they stop sticking to each other.
