I've found people would put way more energy into trying to silence people than they will in showing love and acceptance to the targets.
I've found that the people, if given the opportunity to present their thoughts anonymously to a large group, will espouse extreme, hateful perspectives, and foment hatred against targets of their ire. It's like no one learned why the KKK wore hoods.

I don't think hating something people can absolutely change is remotely the same as racism. And someone saying something mean on the internet isn't close to lynching and violence.

I'm not suggesting or saying that. What I'm saying is that people, if given the opportunity to remain anonymous whilst speaking to a large audience, will feel comfortable in espousing extreme views. That racist groups do the same thing supports that opinion.
Saying something mean is not the same as burning down the church, but, if the motivations are similar, then there's nothing wrong in decrying that which might facilitate that action.

Putting in a two week notice at a job you're happy to move on from. It's going to be a wild next month as I get moved and situated, but better opportunities are opening up and it makes me excited about what's to come. No longer stagnating.

Hardees Jalapeno Poppers. Oh, hell yes.
-
Headed to the beach with friends and all the sunscreen money can buy. And a hat.

I spent ~6 hours kayaking today. I won't be able to lift my arms tomorrow but it was a low wind, warm water, no pedal rudder vs. current kind of day.

RL Thing I Love: I'm part of this 'Get Out The Vote' campaign in my neck of the woods through school, and anything they send out the e-mail updates, they preface it with 'GOtV' and it makes me smile to think the Guardians of the Veil would use e-mail updates.

Nailing an interview for a job that is not only way above my current payscale, but is in exactly the field I want to get into. It's a combination of grant stuff, public service for disadvantaged populations, and working with providers who are supporting our patients. It's out of the agency of doom and...well, into one that has a way worse reputation, but the particular unit I'll be going into (I met the team already ahahahahahahaha) is like, the coolest.
NAILED IT. For real. So excited.

Anchovies. So fucking good. All you anchovy-hating savages can SUCK MY SALTY FISH BITS.

The fact that I can make Redditors SO INEXPLICABLY ANGRY when I correct someone referring to me as a "him" instead of a "her." Because OMG NO ONE CARES ABOUT YOUR VAGINA YOUR WOMANESS DOESN'T ADD TO THE CONVERSATION.
It's just like, wow dude you have a lot of feelings about minor conversational corrections.
-
@Roz You're such an angry, forceful man. I feel like you make important points.
Unless you're a woman, in which case why are you such a bitch?!

Chicken in a Dark Chocolate Mole sauce. Wash that stuff down with a Portuguese wine.

I am starting to like mathematics.

The app "Wunderlist".
It's kind of amazing.Also, somewhat related, I'm really liking Windows 8.1, and I thought I wouldn't. So that's a pleasant surprise.

Oh man, I was an English and Theatre major in college and always hated math, but now I spend a lot of my marketing job doing pricing and sales analysis and getting really excited about nested logical formulas in Excel.
