Fucking freshmen.
Yes, I understand, you think that being late your first day is the end of your college career. It's not. Professors expect you to not have a clue, and the first day is rarely important.
Yes, I understand that you think being in the middle of campus is the best, and you turn the parking lot and garages into Thunderdome. You will learn, in time, that it's best to park at your main building, and only travel to the campus center for lunch.
Yes, I know, you're full of questions, and normally I would be happy o help you, if you would just CALM THE FUCK DOWN. But you panicking is making me ehausted, and I"m losing my goddamn patience. I swear I will hit you with a chair if you scream a question at me again.
I's your first day fo your next FOUR YEARS. Or more. SEriously, ake a goddamn breath.
Easy. Might wanna type a little less angrily. You're typoing all over the place! It's very unseemly!
It's not being able to see the bottom line. Couple that with an ancient laptop (because I have not picked up my new one yet, it just came in!) that has half the key letter ing worn off from use, and .... yeah. Bad. All Bad.

What kind of academic are you? You should be able to type without looking at the keys OR the screen. IT SHOULD BE IN YOUR SOUL. FAIL.
-
It only gets bad when I'm tired. And that didn't come from being an academic. I learned to really type like a pro when I became a musher, and then got a job as a research assistant. A full year of doing something sixteen hours a day makes you pretty good and speedy, but I have not yet mastered blind accuracy.

/SIGH
Fine. I'll say it.
That's what she said.
I'll show myself out.
-
You have successfully made me lol for the first time today. I owe you something for breaking my desire to beat people over the head with blunt instruments.
-
I want a PONY.

Blargh, it's lease renewal time and the apartment was just priced higher than I want to continue paying for it. I found a great new place pretty quickly, but I am not looking forward to moving again. I thought I'd reached the, "I will never move again until I leave this damn city" point, but it seems not.
-
Owch. I feel you there. I lived in some of the cheap, rough housing when I lived in SM and it just kept going up and up until I may as well have just gone somewhere nicer for the same rates.
-
damned windows 10 keeps redownloading instead of installing on my media NUC. AAAggh!

I wouldn't say that I have mastered blind accuracy but as long as I keep my fingers on the home row I do pretty good even without looking at the screen.
I never look at my hands. That came from school. They would put little box things over your hands so you couldn't see them as you typed.
Typing on average 90 wpm and being able to get up to 180 wpm comes from mushing.

Fact.

I booked a ticket very recently to visit my family overseas for a couple of weeks. I did it with one of the large travel agency chains, and ever since then they're already bombarding my mailbox with offers for luxurious vacations to assorted exotic locations ($27 off!).
How many vacation days do these people think I have! I know it's automated but surely their code should let me fly first to the place I already booked which is in less than a month, then try to sell me on more destinations.

I flew, once, using this small airplane company and every single day I got 3-5 e-mails from them giving me promotional rates to places I'd never want to go, and didn't fly to, until I had to unsubscribe/block them.
Airline wars are cray.
-
I'm still getting e-mails from the place I used in 2013.
Also, I really want to like this antidepressant. It does good things to my mood. But lordy, it's awful on my digestive system.
-
Probiotic yogurt. It's amazing how well they've marketed something whose selling point is it has bacteria in it.
-
Whilst the science is far from settled on the effects of probiotic products, the fact that gut bacteria have a huge effect on your body is pretty clear.

My brother is a probiotic advocate. He was having digestive issues until he started taking a pill each day and they cleared up.
-
Actually I was suggesting that @silentsophia look into probiotic supplements. Xp
