All over a haircut.
You mean, all over a sister who had the nerve to disrespect family.
Either Brando or Pacino would've had her head stuck into your parents' bed.

Sometimes I'm super petty about stuff.
I would have just stopped going to get a haircut there--and if she came to dinner, I would have asked her to pay for her meal (and I would have paid for everyone else's, if that was the usual way of things).

That moment you realize someone is never going to stop lying or being a completely shady asshole really fucking blows.
-
@surreality Well you don't have to keep talking to me.
-
@tinuviel You, I like.
I'm not even sure I like this person any more, and they're someone that was among the people I've been closest to in my life.

I hate. HATE!...knowing that there are three restaurants in Cbus that do not have working fire alarm systems - that their systems are yellow tagged and have been reported to the state. And that they will not come into compliance until the state makes them in 3-6 months.
And I can not say who they are to anyone.

The map editor in Farcry 5 is pretty beefy. There's a lot you can do with it. What I wish they did have was lock and joint system that Fallout 4 uses for their basic building pieces. It's just a touch infuriating.
On that note, I'm building an assault level by building a copy of my workplace in the level editor because I have a few co workers that play the game. I've made a dent and suddenly wondered to myself if something like that could get me fired.

@testament I would err on the side of caution there if HR has any reason to be mad at you now, in the past, or could even imagine being mad at you in the future.
One person's 'funny bonding project' (intent) is a grumpy HR director's 'report to the FBI'.

I know this probably doesn't help, but this is where I am with my best friend in RL. He's quickly getting intolerable.
-
@derp I'm trying to keep the faith. I objectively know it is completely stupid of me to do, but I am.
It is not remotely easy.
Here's hoping you're not two years into this bullshit and your version resolves way faster.

My doggie is in pain and there's nothing we can do except give him drugs, minimize his movement for several weeks (yeah, right, there's no way to get out of our house without stairs), and hope his body heals with rest.

@aria I'm sorry, that's rough.
-
A month we yellow tagged a fire alarm panel in a hotel. This means that the hotel by law is supposed to be shut down until they fix their fire related problem. In this case - the sprinklers do not work.
We notified the fire marshal again today. Fuck I hope no one sets that place on fire.
-
That would mean that someone loses money. Don't you know how the world works by now? (Though I hope nobody sets it on fire, too.)
-
I went to the car company to lease a new car. As my lease was ending late this month.
We negotiate, they quote me a reasonable price on a nicer car than I am driving now.
A week later, I talk to them again.
Them: "Oh, we're sorry. Your credit just took a ding. We have to up our rates on you."
Me: "You are why it went down. You ended my account and took my credit from 744 to 737. You can't just go back on our deal."
Them: "Pray we do not alter the agreement further!"
Me: "Bye, Felicia."
Then they do a hard credit check on me. After all of this. BAM. Another 8 points on my credit score. These assholes hit my credit for 15 points. FML.

@aria I hope he gets better, poor boy. All our love.

https://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/8lnhhy/body_worn_camera_video_release_of_sterling_brown/
What's pretty crazy about this is that it sounds mild compared to other incidents of racism, but... damn.
Basically Sterling Brown - a black NBA player which is why the issue got as much exposure, plus a body camera video was finally released - went into a store after parking illegally.
He got out and immediately a cop walked over to him presumably because of the way he had parked, but then immediately escalated because he felt Brown was standing too close (when he walked over to Brown), and then when the guy basically said 'okay, so, give me a ticket' he called in backup.
There were like a bunch police cars there pretty soon, and before long they ordered him to take his hands out of his pockets an hour later for no reason. When Brown said 'uh, it's cold guys, it's January' like 5 of them threw him to the ground. It then got worse since although he wasn't fighting (which is obvious from the footage) one of the cops goes 'anyone got a taser?'. And they TASE him.
The police department several weeks later issued an apology and said the cops were disciplined, but not how, or which ones.
What the hell, America.
