Re: Star Wars: It's weird. I know Age of Alliances has fast forwarded to Ep 7, but they want to include as much of their post Ep 6 RP as possible, but have been wishy-washy on doing it all. Granted, the movie did literally just come out, so now that the Headwiz has seen it, maybe it'll get sorted out better.
That sounds risky. We don't know much about what's happening in Episode 7's brave new galaxy and what we do know is based on a handful of specific canon characters (and even they are still pretty mysterious). Even the political climate is largely unrevealed.
Which means a game will either need to improvise a whole lot, most likely leading to a completely home-grown setting - and at this point why even base it on the new movie? - or hogtie everything to reveals yet to be given which will bottleneck the MU* in a lot of ways.

The only real way to do this is to parallel it--make your own story.

I know. I voted for the clean slate/start over with everything (as well as switching from DSS to FFG) but got turned down. I understand the WHY of it, just not why they think it's a good idea.

Supposedly there is a lot more in the new canon novels/comics? I couldn't tell you specifics, though. Since the game is set 1.5 years before Ep 8, we should have more answers by the time we hit Starkiller Base. Retcons are always a thing, no matter what. I unno. I really want that FFG MU to happen.

Are there any Planescape mushes kicking around? I miss the old table top campaign I was playing in last year.

Bond. James Bond. I would kill for (pun intended) a 007-themed MU*.

Dune game set after " Sandworms of dune".
The Bene gesseritts keeping their Old way.
THE New Sisterhood changing things even letting men in.
The march of time forward.
The cults and religions the Fremen on Dune, star spanning empires.
The game would are place on a little backwater world that is on the rise to be a hub of a new little kingdom.
Not Spice, but Dust powers it. -
I like this idea. Though honestly, I would prefer to have a Dune game set before Paul, during the reign of Crown Prince Raphael. Set it on a backwater planet and focus it on the life and times of one house on that planet. And make it into an Upstairs/Downstairs Downton Abbey kind of thing.
I've been watching a lot of Downton Abbey and I was some kind of fantasy/sci fi spin off of it.

Haven't read NY prequels stuff so maybe alter verse
-
There is very little on the life of Raphael other than what is said in the prequels, the series, and in the Encyclopedia. It could be easy to pull off.

An idea that just popped into my head that could be all sorts of awesome but likely would never succeed :
Someone referred o Bane's old game as one that was pulp fiction, which is true but how about a Pulp Fiction game,
well not just a Pulp Fiction game but one set in the Tarantino movie verse.
You could have wild action loves of big plots and explosions, enough dark and gritty awesome to fit in.
Not sure what system I would use, maybe the new Spirit of 77 one but I have not bought and read that one yet, possibly just Feng Shui since it does action movies well and the Tarantino stuff definitely has a lot in common with he Hong Kong cinema action stuff. -
San Juan by Night!
Puerto Rican shifters and Vampires!
Wepa!
-
Still want a fallout game...sobs

A MASH style game. Where focus is on the every day life of people in medical units (not so much the never ending treating of people. Like what they do to stave off the insanity of being close to the front, of constantly staring death in the face, etc.
This might be a result of my binge watching the TV series MASH.

@icanbeyourmuse
So this. I remember a Sci fi series in the 90s that was short lived that was like this.

I was actually kind of sad that it was cancelled when it did.

So, one of the many ideas that is 'in development' due to my ADD is a game that would be a continuation of the 'Young Justice' animated series. I'very got the storyline for a full year 'Season 3' frameworked out. Any interest?
