I appreciate that, folks.
You have no idea how tempting it is to flag this post.

@Ifrit Already did.
@Arkandel ...but are we sure it isn't just the flagging broke in some update or another is what I'm dying to know here.

Oh, I can positively verify flagging works since a whole bunch of people gave it their all just now.
going to go do something to maintain notes on a thing and finding out someone already did it and did it better than I could have.
I especially love it because I think it is because they are excited about this thing, that I hooked them into, and that is just lovely.
(Yes, this also turned into a humble brag. sorry not sorry.)
@Packrat I believe you are looking for the RL things I love thread but I will accept some of your cakes in payment for your fine.
@Roz Dammit! Yes, indeed the wrong thread, thanks for that.
tmw you realize that virtually any mush scenario you spitball has an accompanying music number from either "Galavant" or "Crazy Ex Girlfriend".

Honestly, I have no idea how Galavant got green-lit in the first place, much less how it managed a second season. I consider that a gift from the universe.
"I tried out a few alts before settling on Redacted; mainly because Kestrel's enthusiasm was infectious."
God damn if that isn't the nicest fucking thing I've heard all day. I built a group thing and people like it. I made this person happy and gave them a story to play with. Moments like this make all the crap and drama and stress worth it.
More love! I'm in a loving mood I guess.
Confession: I love creeping people out (IC, in non Weinstein ways).
I had a scene recently where my plutocratic character invited a SJW-type character to dinner, to discuss business. (Non romantic.) The latter chose the place — a high-end establishment. Upon sitting down my character proceeded to gossip and smirk about how the wine list leaves much to be desired, and then I had her summon the waiter to insist that they'd like to order something off the menu, using her reputation and position of power to justify it.
I love getting a certain reaction out of people, when it's entirely intentional, of 'Wow your character is awful'. Like yes, thank you and well done for noticing she's awful! That's intentional! I'm glad I could be of service in making your skin crawl at the existence of these types of people.
This is a quirk, right? Am I weird for getting a kick out of this?
@Kestrel Oh, no way. HorrorMu's cyclical nature has given me the nerve to play characters that do things that are mean, off-putting, mildly sexist/racist, vain, and just plain annoying. I wouldn't do that in a long game only because I can't sustain it very well (I'm too nice or something?) but those moments when I am typing up something totally obnoxious and it gets the response I wanted. Mmm. Best feeling you can get for free.

In a hobby of people pretending to be vampires and elves? Hahahaahahaha. Hardly. Revel knowing you're playing a compelling character.

You could play a perfectly well adjusted, well behaved, normal likable person who does everything right. Those are a blast to play with.

Man, people were so pissed when I broke their characters.
People I'm still talking to today are people who enjoyed it and broke mine back.
Short and sweet.
I like writing vignettes or one-shots or solo pieces with or about my character.
I love games that let me share those.
@Goldfish I love doing this too! It's one of my favorite things. LOVELOVELOVE. And when I have a vignette that I wrote a year prior, and it is suddenly relevant and I get to share it with people like BOOM!
And they like it?
IS THE BEST IS SO GOOD IS HAPPIFYING.
