@Alamias Yes, Gray Harbor is my game
This whole last 6 months can go right to hell. While there has been some good in it, mostly it has just been a pile of crap.
I mean, I am thankful we both have families that will help us, so we are not as fucked as we could be, but I hate that I have to ask for help.

Sorry, I just needed to get that out.
My current TTRPG obsession is Deadlands and would love to see some sort of supernatural western-themed MU.
I at least once a year go through the entire run of Dresden Files narrated by James Marsters. I love that series.

START PUTTING UP YOUR SPOOPY DECOR ON JANUARY 1ST PEOPLE!
Hell, I never take them down to begin with.
@Jaded It doesn't hurt that he is a self proclaimed Witcher fanboi, and lobbied for the role even before word one of the script was written down. He fought hard for that role, and is putting his all into it.
For what it is worth, I bit the bullet and at least talked to my friend about how to apply. Steps were taken, as small as they were.

I was actually bummed that MSB was done, because in the real life section, this is almost a safe space to rant and I needed to rant!
Yeah. I don't need to rant or anything most the time...but when MSB was down I felt something was missing. I didn't realize how much I rely on it for news and such during the day.
@Ghost Man, I would be all over that. Werewolf was always my preferred game.
I started my MU* career back in those days of yore. I took about a 10 year hiatus, and when I came back the OOC Masq was a thing of the past, character wikis were now a thing and people were free with everything.
At first I hated that it no longer existed. I thought that it spoiled the game, that any element of surprise was taken away. That no longer would someone be in a bar and pick a fight with the wrong person since they could just look up what that person was and go 'Oh, shit..he is a insert thing here and I am just a lowly mortal. Maybe I should edge back so I don't end up dead!'.
But, after a bit I noticed that people (at least most people) didn't use the OOC knowledge they had and actually played their characters ICly, and that the prospect of being open actually enhanced some of the RP because you could add some prose to a pose that you otherwise wouldn't have been able to because of the OOC masq.
That being said, I wouldn't mind seeing an 'Old School' game with the OOC Masq pop up, just because I did like the element of mystery that went along with it, but I also know that I am in the minority and people tend to find the OOC Masq a horrific thing.
@mietze That is pretty much the carbon copy of my 2nd wedding.
The only difference is we had a small handful of people we told and brought with us, then everyone else got a 'Hey we did a thing, here is a reception in our back yard!' invite after the fact. We got a bit of flack and hurt feelings from the people that we didn't tell right away, but tough shit for them...we had a limited budget and didn't invite the world.

The Sexiest One Of Them All
Don't make me bring Kaleb to Fallcoast. He was bad enough over on The Reach.

@Aria Yeah, I hear ya. The wife and I had done the big wedding before with our respective first spouses, so this time we just went on the cheap and easy.
And let me tell you, having your wedding reception at Quark's bar while LeVar Burton just also happens to be there is just the icing on the non-existent wedding cake.
I miss Quark's. Hell, I miss the Warp Core Breach. They always tried to tell me that I needed someone else to drink one of those with me. I always proved them wrong.
@Auspice I used to work in places that had nerf wars. God how I miss working at places that allowed nerf wars. My 30 round drum fed 5 round a second autofire gun is just sitting at home gathering dust.
I started going to Renascence fairs, acting in Shakespearean plays, and coding on an Apple IIe and a Commodore PET when I was in the 6th grade. I started playing D&D and other RPGs about the same time. From there I ran a BBS and got into online RPG's via play by post games. When I got to college I started hard core into the MUSH world with Vampire/Were 1st edition and Super Hero MU*'s.
