Many places make unisex tees. Most of mine are technically 'for guys', but they're unisex. They usually look better on me than on my husband, so I tend to not complain too much there.

In all seriousness, having made clothing and such forever... 'men's tee' is unisex in all but name from most companies.

This is still stupid and frustrating, yes, but not necessarily for the reason of 'this doesn't come in girl' in many cases.

Personally I don't like wearing those because I hate having sleeves down to my elbows..

    • RE: How To Strip Comtitles in PennMush

Personally, I wish more games would just ask people to keep to a character limit on comtitles. I don't mind the succinct ones. But when they're really long like that, they drive me bonkers, too.

But agreed, more com systems need ways to gag them on your end. I don't know a way on Penn personally.

      Motorcycles.

I don't care if you can accelerate very fast, if I'm in front of you on the on ramp I get first right of merging. No amount of "watch out for motorcycles" bumper stickers will make it my responsibility if I run into them while they're doing this.

      Yeah, what @Misadventure said.
A motorcycle speeding past you as you merge/turn/etc is an idiot driver.
Those bumper stickers are for people unaware of the ones that are driving sanely / might just be in your blindspot ('cause I mean, cars have weird blindspots sometimes).

I'm not seeing the problem here.

As someone who is not an auditory learner at all, though, I probably would have done this anyway without the study, too, because I take information in a lot better through reading than through listening anyway.

I had a professor once who told us, day 1 of class: 'If I put it on the white board, it'll be on a test.'

After that point, I largely tuned out lectures unless he was near that white board. As soon as he went over there and picked up a marker, I tuned back in, began taking notes, including drawing whatever he drew out...

I not only Aced that class, I got all the extra credit.

My notebook (because I had people in my dorm who took his classes, too) was also the dorm slut. Midterms and finals would come around and people would be asking to borrow it for their studies because... apparently I was the only person who picked up on that early on enough to have all the notes.

But seriously, that's something I wish more instructors would do. If you wanna lecture at length, sure, but make sure there's a way for people who aren't auditory learners to distill it. I'm a visual / hands-on, so that worked out amazingly well for me.

I know some people love Talisman. I hate it. >.>

I would enjoy it (bought it on the Steam Board Game Sale) but if someone gets dropped (and @EmmahSue always gets dropped) it's very, very difficult to get someone back in.

So I downvoted it. First game on Steam I downvoted. Pain in the ass.

The bugs are part of why I hate it, but mechanics-wise I'm just also not a big fan.

But Ticket to Ride is one of my favorite board games, period. And Mysterium is a type of game I really enjoy. I'm not sure how it'll do digitally, but I'm really looking forward to finding out sometime.

Two of my favorite games (Ticket to Ride, Mysterium) are in the lowest tier. Buy them! Play them with me!

Armello is great, too (it's in the highest tier).

      I have ADD.

I have ADD, but I haven't yet found a doctor to take me seriously enough (yay being a woman) to give me anything for it. Usually I get 'Oh your anti-depressants should help with that' (wut.) or right now it's 'More sleep should fix that' (uhuh sure).

Meanwhile I have days I get so frustrated that I want to cry. I struggle with my job. I have a whole host of coping mechanisms just for daily life.

But the real anger part is my job. It's that I have told my bosses and project managers and their reactions range from 'Okay' to 'Oh I have trouble focusing some days, too!'

      and then this bullshit.

I now, as of today, have to manually track my time. Every single case. I have to note the case number, a summary of what I did on the case, and how many minutes I spent on it. Because the client is concerned I'm not 'doing enough' on my shifts. This, after months of 'here work this special project.' After months of 'spend your shift focusing on <these> cases.' <these> cases being ones that take anywhere from 30-60 minutes to complete (sometimes more)... per case.

But oh, no, now it's 'We're worried she's not being productive enough because she's not closing enough cases per shift.' Because I'll 'touch' 20+ cases, but only close, say, 5.

      Mother.fuckers.
      You did this.
      Not me.

Maybe get better software where you can get metrics showing which cases we worked.

If you're so fucking worried about my time, don't give me another task that will take up time. Especially not a task that is madness-inducing for someone with ADD. How the fucking hell am I supposed to keep exact track of time spent?

I hate, hate, hate this path because this path leads to trying to justify my fucking existence with ADD. In a job with a company where I have witnessed (because I've done QA) people who are utterly horrendous at their job remain in their positions for months, years on end.

I'm great at my job. I just sometimes work slower than other people because of brain weasels.

I only wear it once in a while, but for me it's like, two things:

      a) another form of artistry
      b) a mask. it helps with my social anxiety.

I know for a lot of women, yes, it does fall into the whole... societal expectations thing and that sucks, but I've just never cared enough about what people think. Despite my mother's attempts to force me to do so.

The sadness that is Urban Decay discontinuing their original Naked palette 😞

HOWEVER, if you're looking to grab one/stock up, Macy's is basically the only place left with any in stock. If you're in Canada, you can't order online (unless you have an American credit card or American PayPal account). You need to call them (1-800-289-6229) and order that way.

I was never able to afford one. 😧

I have the NYX version and it does all right for me.

I'm a professional knitter -- not tippy-top expert, but 8/10. Currently working on this sweater, "Hamilton". I like the chevron design; it's a nice and subtle texture, and is working up quickly so far.

      I ❤ Chevrons. That's a gorgeous sweater.

I've always wanted to knit a sweater, but I lack the patience to stick with one long term. So I just do complicated quick-knits. 😄

But the sweater I have noted for myself to make someday (if I ever find the focus to actually FINISH one) is Citadel.

    • RE: Horror MUX - Discussion

I will note, for Botulism's sake as well...

The first story was rushed to an ending, yes. She also checked with the playerbase on doing so and the majority of players weighed in that they wanted it done. The reason being that it was taken as a lesson learned. This is fairly different way of doing things (not brand new, as we've covered, but certainly new to her!) and she had some takeaways and lessons learned.

She wanted to apply those to the next story and was excited to get moving on it. So was everyone else. So it wasn't that 'oh well, the cool kids died, let's start again!' it was 'HUGE things happened that are going to kill you all in a few days anyway... what do you all say we wrap this up in a couple scenes so that we can start over again with a new story that has better pacing than this one did?'

And there weren't any really vocal naysayers to the idea. Everyone, from what I saw, said 'Yeah, let's do it! We wanna play Aliens!'
