      I hate how pretty much every time I eat, no matter what I eat... I feel sick after.

      Some bread? Sick.
      Bowl of plain white rice? Sick.
      Grilled chicken? Sick.

      Oh, it tastes great. And my anemic self is glad I've eaten (headache clears up, I stop feeling weak/shaky, etc)... But I just feel terribly nauseated for a while.

      I didn't want one that will upload to the forum because I don't want to overload our hosting space. Just like we don't really upload images, etc. much. But I was looking for ones that will let you link to externally hosted (like YouTube, vimeo, etc.).

      Ones uploaded would also risk affecting load times more (already an issue sometimes w/gifs) and we have a lot of people that view from mobile devices.

      Yesno.

      It exists.
      It's there.
      It don't work.

      I'll try fighting it again someday maybe. Last time I tried it was a losing battle 'cuz nodebb is a dingus.

      I read in this thread I think that this isn't a good game for a casual player. I have been wanting to check it out but I have about 2 or 3 hours an evening to devote on work nights. Is that enough time or should I just avoid?

      It depends on casual; 2-3 hours an evening seems okay? Its if you can only play like once a week or once every other week where it likely will totally sweep past you.

      Precisely this. When we've said casual, we mean the sorts who can only stop in about once a week or less. Or the people who tend to just sit idle OOC and might RP once in a blue moon.

      If you can be around a couple hours a night to RP? You'll be just fine! And if you can RP more on weekends? Totally all right. πŸ™‚

      @auspice I gave away a desk a few months ago. I had no idea you needed one. Sorry.

      These things happen.
      Hopefully the one I ordered isn't absolutely terrible and I won't have to buy another in a couple months. WE'LL SEE.

      I lived in Chicago, but not long enough to know anything about it aside from the fact that the entire language spoken there consists of saying 'Da Bears!' in different inflections.

      I picked up a couple of cheap canvas bins at Walmart (they're like, $4?) to use on the bottom shelf of my end tables since, well, more convenient than just a shelf at floor-height.

      Ike has decided they are hers:

      While I hate that I spent the last month-ish working 6-7 days a week, tons of OT... It paid off.

      I had enough left over after rent and car insurance (my 'first of the month' bills) to get a proper vacuum cleaner (been using one of those $20 dirt devil ones and they're sort of useless when you have a cat who is the messiest eater ever I swear) and...

      ...

      A DESK. (One of the cheapest ones I could find, so I'm sure I'll be putting L-brackets and shit to hold it together within 6 months, but wtfever)

      I WILL FINALLY BE ABLE TO GAME AGAIN.

      Also to work from the desk during my morning at-home work hours. Which my back will thank me for. I've been sitting at this sofa for far too long. Lower back pain has been my bane for a few weeks.

      @thenomain said in Setting up a builder Bit:

      This one can be a long discussion, and a lot of it has to do with what kind of builder bits and how much ability you want them to have over the database.

      So, what do you or they want to be able to do? Build grid, build a specific project? Build a personal space?

      What he said.

      It's sort of an age-old question/concern.
      People don't want to worry about that gosh darn building thang, but they also don't trust their builders (builders are so often seen as the "least" of the Staff totem pole) to have any power, so there has long been this cry of 'why can't my builder have access to everything they need..... without having access to anything of consequence?'

      But building, by its nature, is a certain measure of coding as well if they're doing anything more than the most basic creation of rooms. If you want zones, locks, weather systems, places, etc... You need your builders to have a certain amount of access/power.

      @seamus said in Pokemon?:

      @auspice Right now the only regional variants are the Alolan ones. PTU levels all the pokemon regardless of region. However, there are ways to customize each pokemon via stats, capabilities. Abilities, edges and breeding.

      So not all Bulbasaur are cookie cutter copies.

      @seamus said in Pokemon?:

      @auspice It is...

      • Capability listings

      • Skill listings

      • Egg, Tutor, TMs/HMs move lists

      • Pokedex listings, as we support Regional, Unified, Type-ish ones.

      • Resistances based on specific pokemon.

      • Alternate forms, Mega Evolutions.

      Most of this is done. I am using a Homebrew game that merges aspects from systems I like. Though PTU for pokemon. I did not like how trainers could impact the battle by actively fighting in batyle. While I did keep this aspect, it has been toned down significantly.

      And I am not going for a single region game. I am doing every region.

      Sweet. Region was the thing I noticed missing at-a-glance and I remember that being one of the first things the Pokedex 'announces' in the show and video game, so while it might not limit behavior, it's still a data point!

      And if you're including multi-regions, it will inform on 'okay which regional variant is this.'

      Sweet. πŸ™‚
