Same. Rarely, rarely, percocet will get me into 'sit and stare at the wall in a daze' but not generally.

Ambien used to work, doesn't anymore. Trazodone doesn't work night-of, but leaves me feeling drugged the next day.

I hate my body's resistance.

Ambien is such a tease, it is amazing when you first start but tolerance builds sooo fast and then your body refuses to sleep with or without it. Ugh.

The way trazodone is now is worse tho. That feeling drugged the whole next day... The time I tried taking it, I spend a good hour or so just crying because of how bad it was. Like, couldn't see straight, walking into walls, every little thing took such immense concentration.... and that was after not being able to sleep the entire night.

Trazadone gave me horrible nightmares, the kind where you know you are dreaming but can't wake yourself up enough to stop. No ty.

I was originally put on it (as a teenager) to stop a bad cycle of hypnagogic hallucinations. It works great for some people! When I was on it then, it was amazing, which is why I was totally willing to give it another go when the ambien quit working.

That sounds like it could get annoyingly complicated for Staff on a game very quickly. In a TT, sure, fine, but on a MU*? Jesus I'd hate to be equipment staff. I'd want to murder every single min-maxer.

I know I'm 'supposed' to be working on Magicians and I am (as my spare time allows) but I recently binged through The Expanse and I'm reading the books and I've got it all in my head how I'd run a game set on Ceres.

Tried a new 'no knead' recipe and I think it turned out well:

(Sourdough sponge is still coming along alright I think. Might be ready for first batch in a few days.)

Didn't get the job.

Felt really, really good about this one.
They wouldn't even tell me anything other than the 'We really liked you, the team thought you were great, but we're going with other applicants.' spiel.

I just want to give up except for the fact that with my current job having cut my hours, I'm stressing making ends meet.

I'll bounce back, I guess. Maybe. But right now I'm just having some tea after spending half an hour crying on my kitchen floor.

The chicken must be fried, with the bone in. That's what makes it a delicacy. Chicken fingers take no skill to make; fried chicken is an art form.

Chicken and waffles = hangover food.
I do not wanna be dealing with bones while I'm hungover and tucked into my sofa, damnit. I just wanna be tearing into a takeout container with wild abandon, stuffing my face.

There is a certain delicacy to the mix of a fluffy waffle and the fried chicken goodness. And some syrup to it, and it can be heavenly.

Most of the time, it's horrifying.

And it has to be chicken fingers. Bone-in chicken ruins it.
And never put the chicken in the waffle mix.
