@Misadventure That's their house! ...mine is wineless. Which, bringing things back to the general topic of the thread, I am now officially somewhat angry about.

My roommate works at Trader Joe's.
She did a tasting the other day and in telling me about it, followed up with: '...I had to pour four bottles of wine out at the end of the day.'

...oh the look of despair I gave her. HOW DARE SHE NOT BRING IT HOME TO ME?!

I miss when she was wine manager. 😞 She'd often bring home wine to taste/try and if she didn't like it personally, she'd hand off the rest of the bottle to me (and as she's not a big fan of cabs, whereas I am.......)

      @Auspice WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW.

Somehow, the last line is what truly kills me. It starts off pretending to be so straightforward and factual and then goes off the rails so fast you'd think somebody strapped a rocket to it.

      100% LETHAL!

@Auspice -- Wait, am I not supposed to sigh melodramatically and mutter "fucking white people" under my breath when white people do something that is collectively stupid? Cause we do stupid shit. Like, a lot.

      Oh, that's fine.
But there's your operative word: 'we.'
      This dude exempts himself.

      ETA:
I'm not sure which line is best.
'My looks, instincts, knowledge and strength is 100% pure and 100% lethal.'
      or
'...with me and my penis directed towards the sun.'

The only negative one I've gotten I'm preeeeeeetty sure came from the girl or a friend of the girl who tried to be all petty-McPetty-face about me going to that concert and I called her out publicly about it.

Since it came the day after and I know other people bitched her out over being shitty to me.

And yeah we have too many people like that dude. I've been hovering over 'unfriend' on a guy I know on Facebook for a while except he's almost too fascinating not too. He's in that category of being hella white, but he loves to go on tirades about 'white people,' as if he's somehow exempted himself. Yesterday's rant was 'We had an intelligent black man leading us, so WHITE PEOPLE had to elect a WHITE MAN just as STUPID AS THEMSELVES to FEEL BETTER ABOUT BEING WHITE.'

I've mostly gotten lulz on my sarahah.

Like the person who said they can't be friends with someone who actually knows the muffin man. That's the one that made me wish it wasn't anonymous. I wanna give that person a hi5 and buy them a beer.

@Auspice -- It was. So at least it sounds normal when you say it out loud. But FFS, couldn't you put Evie on the birth certificate and make all the private jokes you want about her being an adorable little Pokemon? I mean, seriously, at least give the kid a chance at not going through life until age eighteen with her head permanently hung low and a look of mortification every time she has to put her name on paper.

Well, maybe they wanted it to be Evie with a 'moar unique' spelling, like:

Was it Eevee? That's the only acceptable one because it's at least vaguely close to a real name.

What really sucks for me is I'm having trouble finding any free time right now. I'm hoping it's just the move and once I'm settled in the new place, I'll have free time again. I know being able to relax and recover (mentally, physically, etc.) is important. I'm not gaming, I'm not going out and socializing, I'm not reading... MU*ing was all I was doing because I could do it alongside the other stuff (like homework and packing). So it sort of worries me that I'm losing the one 'downtime and relax' activity I had. 😕

I'm in the last 9 months of my degree. It's officially hit the point of taking up a massive chunk of my time and focus.

I have less and less brain power to RP. And RP was already fitting that category of 'all I have time for outside of work and school.'

I'm afraid pretty soon it's just gonna be 'binge watching TV before I pass out asleep.' 😞
Really hoping next class is gonna be one of the easy ones, but I doubt it.

An episode where it's actually a good show.

We were given specific shows to pick from.

I wasn't gonna pick NCIS or Big Bang Theory, okay. I actually enjoy some of the characters on New Girl. Schmidt, for example, amuses the hell out of me.

@Auspice A day where everything drives Schmidt absolutely nuts with his various quirks (like he tries to put on a fancy dinner party and everything blows up on him) and he has to be talked down by the only person who can do so...Martha Stewart.

...now I'm imagining that he doesn't even realize it's her at first. HMMM. I'm liking this.

Have you ever watched New Girl? If so, what are some storylines you wished you had seen?

(I have to write a New Girl spec script for class this month and have to pitch story ideas this coming week and I'm coming up blank and I need some ideas to kickstart my muse. 😐 )

The second half was a mix of their songs being played. Some I barely knew, some I know by heart. And the entire crowd on their feet, singing along. I have never, ever seen a crowd at a show that invested in the music. I am so used to seeing a mix of people at concerts; fans those there because 'it's a concert.' The Neptune theater is kind of an intimate venue to begin with, but everyone there from the couple in their 70s to the 10-year-old there with his mother... were fans.

My greatest sadness over the band Great Big Sea breaking up a few years ago is that they won't tour any longer. GBS shows were the sort where everyone in the audience knew the songs, and the band expected you to sing along with them. And when they finished a show, they'd head over to Kell's on Post Alley and have drinks with the audience.

Those are the best sort of shows; I'm glad you were able to go!

I know a few people who have gone to GBS shows and they spoke very highly of them!
