@Auspice I typically only fuck things that I like (except that one time...)
But yes. Fuck cancer.
Is that why you keep turning me down?

While I have too many projects to really take this on, my primary warning about Wikidot is to be careful with how much content you add at once to a new wiki. I've had my entire wiki get removed wholesale (which also fucked my karma), because they marked me for spam even though it wasn't. That's why I don't use Wikidot anymore, otherwise I love Wikidot.
Not something I've encountered before! Well, considering this is meant to be a 'take it slow and easy' deal, hopefully that won't happen.
I've had someone step up and offer to help, so hopefully this is covered, but thank you.
Just a few days ago, my friend was talking confidently about the new treatment plan for her cancer.
She passed away yesterday.
Fuck cancer.
I'm about to start slooooowly working on my game. Which means I need someone who can do some wikidot magic.
I can do wikidot markup/code. However, I'm no designer. I also get that overwhelmed/anxiety feeling when faced with a blank wikidot setup.
Which means I need help. I need someone who can do an initial setup/layout and make a wikidot template / site look pretty. You wouldn't need to stick around. You could even take your time; it's gonna take me months to get my stuff done, so this could be an extreme backburner gig to just kick around and play with in your free time.
It's not a staff position. It's just me in need of someone who can get the framework and design in place for me to load everything into later. I can do log icons once I have a template. I can do code and such once I have something to work with. I just get overwhelmed when I start from a blank slate and I am no visual artist to be able to design something 'cool.'
And yes, I want to use wikidot. I am not personally a mediawiki fan, for one. For two, I get game hosting free through kydance, but not site hosting, so this way I'm not paying anything extra for a domain/hosting.
Dating Theno means going to Ohio.
Why would anyone want to do that?
@faraday said in Spawns and How You Use Them:
@Sparks For me it would be super awesome if there was an option to make the CMD-# "switch window" shortcuts ignore spawns. So that way CMD-1 would be world 1, CMD-2 world 2, etc. The main thing keeping me from using more spawns is my reliance on those hotkeys and the awkwardness of having to do CMD-8 and whatnot to switch windows. I just use one for channel chat on my OOC alt.
This is the main reason I want the sub-tabs for spawns. Because I want to use more spawns, but then I end up with waaaaaay too many windows to use hotkeys.
@Sparks said in Spawns and How You Use Them:
@Auspice I can do something like that in A2, but how would you want it visualized? Just a list of spawns in that world alongside the input window? Or two tab bars, where one of them is the world and the other is the spawns within it?
I'd prefer two tab bars.
Like:
World
-- Spawn A, Spawn B
Because then you could still have the activity alerts show there
So:
World (2)
-- Spawn A, Spawn B (1)
It'd be so nice for my personal sanity if that was an option. It'd make my primary world 'bar' much cleaner since I'd just see the overall 'Worlds' and how much overall activity they have, then the specific spawns for the world I'm on.
Whelp. Glad I didn't have the chance to start season 2 of Sense8 yet. I will not be.
I didn't like the sidebar. It felt cluttered having this massive (it felt that way to me at least) thing in my face all the time.
I really liked in Potato how the spawn only showed when you were on the world it was 'attached' to. I miss that, a lot. It felt so much less cluttered to me and I would love, love, love if I could have that in Atlantis.

@Auspice Strap ons are just as good, dear.
I'm just providing a counterpoint to all the penile bragging.
Your CrystalMUSH names seem somewhat familiar... But that was so long ago.

Does anyone know which Alamo Drafthouse held this event? I will be in the area next week and wish to offer them my patronage.
Not because there will be more women there and my chances of getting a date will be higher than normal.
Well, not just because that.
Looks like it was all of 'em.

Not only do 3D movies give me migraines, they have the audacity to /not even be in 3D/ for me. Since I have no depth perception because my brain learned to process information while ignoring basically everything coming in from my right eye.
Even the screen for the 3DS was a pain in my ass that wasn't worth it. shake fist, whisper i hate 3d let's go back.
The 3DS only works at about like, half the slider depth and I can only manage it for short periods of time before I gotta shut it off. That TV I mentioned from the tech show? Is the only time I've viewed something in 3D that truly, truly felt 3D without causing me discomfort. It was just downright astounding.
Anyone want Stellaris? Got it in the Humble Monthly, already have it. Message me!
Dis is taken
So the last time I spoke to my neuro, I explained how I feel so much worse and his answer was 'get more sleep.'
Because, such an easy answer.
One of my side-effects/symptoms is paresthesia (Paresthesia refers to a burning or prickling sensation that is usually felt in the hands, arms, legs, or feet, but can also occur in other parts of the body. The sensation, which happens without warning, is usually painless and described as tingling or numbness, skin crawling, or itching.). It began in my face and has moved on to where I sometimes get it in my hands/wrists/forearms and feet/ankles.
It'll keep me up. Because it feels so weird/uncomfortable. I mean, even when awake, that shit is distracting and uncomfortable.
Last night? It was in all three areas.
Yeah. you try 'getting more sleep' when your face, hands, and feet are all tingly/prickly. Great advice, doc.
Anyone know any good embroidery kits? Like just a nice whole kit (cloth, thread, pattern) I could pick up?
I've got the other tools, I just want a self-contained kit I can work on this summer.
