Most of my RP time has been focused on Reno (playing a Werewolf for the first time and found a great pack) and Fate's Harvest (where my 'ok this should be fun' concept is actually gaining a lot of traction).

    • RE: Fires of Hope: A Star Wars Story

...yeah, I'm shamed. Force Training is allowed. Hell, I have it on my FU PC. Ahem.

I think it's another Force feat that's disallowed, but I don't think most qualify for it out of CG anyway.

As for the books, @Arkandel - Fires of Hope, at least, has everything in +sinfo. I was able to refresh my memory (I hadn't used SAGA since the year it came out) and get comfortable before I'd even finished CGing my first char. And there's plenty of people who know the system well and are happy to help out.

ETA: @Warlander - I've had a hate-on for games before, but it looks like you made this account just to diss the game. A lot of what you say is in the "sorta kinda accurate" field. And a lot of it is misleading.

If you hate the game/system because of the people on/Staffing it, I think I'd (and likely others) respect you more if you just came out and said so.

      @Nietzsche

What's worse? I think FB still considers photos of women breastfeeding to be "sexual nudity."

So, yeah, their standards are kinda fucked.

I believe it was mentioned a couple pages ago... The FU details actually changed.

Players can now app, right off the bat, for a FU char. A/B/C still apply (no former Jedi, no Force Training feat, no Skill Focus: UtF), but you can totally be a FU out of CG now.

There will be plot PCs that are more powerful force users (Adepts and the like). Players can apply to play these for a set duration (such as for a specific plot).

@Sparks I honestly regard things like Discord, Slack, etc, as being TeamSpeak/Ventrilo for people who can't use computers, i.e., most people over the age of 35. Yes, even the techies.

Well, considering Slack doesn't have voicechat (by default), I'd have to disagree with that.

I like Slack because I prefer text communication to voice. Don't call me. Please never call me.

No one's mentioned it yet... so

Welcome to Nightvale - it's been going on for a while, you'd probably want to check the archives, but it's fun. I feel like it has a touch of Twin Peaks and WoD silliness to it.

The Moth - People share stories from their lives. Some of them are funny and some of them are rather deep and impactful (https://themoth.org/stories/war is one of my favorites).

The Dollop - I was relatively recently introduced to this one. It's basically two guys going over weird/silly history.

Stuff You Missed in History - Similar to above.

The state of SC (where I used to live) has put a levy on my checks. $625, which isn't a huge amount, but when you live paycheck-to-paycheck, it can be crippling to lose 25% of it to paying something like this.

I have no idea what it's for. I haven't heard anything from them previously.

Hooray for Tuesday morning panic attack!

      EDIT:
Wheeee. It's for an ambulance bill! Isn't that a joy.
But I did talk to them and they'll drop the garnishment to 10%. I should be able to manage that.
Srsly, tho, don't you just fucking love medical shit?

I feel you. I kinda miss playing Lou, but the time demands of the game were just way too high for me and with this recent stuff... I feel like I've maybe dodged a bullet.

@Auspice Seitan is awesome! I do a holiday loaf for thanksgiving and xmas from the post-punk kitchen and it's really tasty.

My favorite, favorite spinach-artichoke dip recipe comes from a vegetarian cookbook.

But I'm sorry, I will never ever get behind vegan cakes/cupcakes. I've tried so many. I need mah dairy.

      Quorn

But I do think I have a recipe in my vegan notes. If I find it, I'll PM it to you. I'm in the middle of packing, so it might not be for a month - unless by some miracle I haven't packed it yet.

Qorn is also really handy for emulating pork chops!
And seitan works super well with Cavender's greek spice to make faux-gyro meat.

@Cupcake - urgent care might be a good option. Most insurance companies charge urgent care the same as a primary care physician and they focus more on the precise thing you're there for (other stuff only comes up if it's part of the issue).

      Two parter post:

      1. My cat loves string. Be it a proper 'string toy,' an old shoelace, or a length of braided yarn (my mom made her one of these). And not just to play with, no. Today I woke up with her sleeping across my legs and all three of her current string toys arrayed around her.

      2. Cheerios is doing a 'bring back the bees' thing where they'll send you wildflower seeds to plant. Check it out!

I sympathize with a lot of your posts, I'm in the same boat. Have been since I was a teenager pretty much, though I go through periods where its not that bad and periods where it is horrible. So sorry for your suffering and pain-free thoughts your way.

Uff. Since you were a teenager? I'm so sorry. I used to get maybe 1 or 2 a year. Now it's 'Did I sit up in the morning? Yes? Migraine.' I have had a couple friends over the years who would regularly end up in urgent care for migraines and I never 'got' it, but now I do (having been to UC once already for a toradol injection).
