While it is not necessarily my preference WoD is by far what i have played the most on MU*s and likely will continue to be so, mainly for the reasons of familiarity and most importantly the poison pills in WoD are the ones I can handle swallowing the best.
All genres have their own little things that tend to be everywhere in that genre and are distasteful so I think a lot of selecting a genre end up being which flavor of crap is least revolting.

This is pretty much where it lies for me. WoD isn't my favorite, but it's where I know I can enjoy myself and how to ward myself from most of the drama.

I had no need/want of people dogpiling on the guy. My anger was mostly at how he was being shitty towards a friend who was just excited over an ice cream.

I think he finally got the point after my third 'Dude, I know, I am not doubting that Youngling, the beer, supported Trump. But these folks aren't them.'

New kvetch: cat is suddenly obsessed with the roommate's boyfriend and it is causing me no end of embarrassment that she will sit outside the roomie's door when he's in there and scratch at it.

Every time I try playing Ark again, I end up supremely upset after losing everything to some dino, unable to get back to retrieve my stuff, and storming off for a while. >.>

In exchange, I will be getting some of this Butterbeer ice cream this weekend (it's a regional thing, but a grocery store near where I'm staying for the wedding I'm attending has it) and I will let you know how awesome it is.

It's online and if it were on my 'wall,' I'd block the person. But she's super sweet and it grinds my gears to see awesome people getting treated like that.

Plus it's motherfucking Butterbeer ice cream. Just let people enjoy things!

In PA, there is Yuengling, the beer company, which supports Trump. Boo them.

In PA, there is also Yuengling's (note the 's), a small, privately owned, family-run ice cream company.

Yuengling's has made a Butterbeer ice cream which is freaking awesome.

Unfortunately, a friend is getting reamed a guy who cannot tell the difference between the two companies, despite being repeatedly told and explained and given links. Nope. In his mind, they are one and the same and she is a horrible, evil person.

Some people just need to not.

I wanna give a shout out to all the baby roleplayers out there on Tumblr and the like that provide us with a plethora of screencaps and GIFs we get to then comb through for our wikis.

If it's regional, it'd be more 'regions of the internet' than RL. The person the convo originally came up with, we grew up within the same city/county and even (at different times) gamed with the same club at a school.

That is why I wanted to ask here. Usually I would write it off as a regional quirk, but it's doubtful that'd be the case in this situation.

She also had feedback for me to overhaul my resume with and yeah ha ha no. That resume is the product of work with head hunters. Y'know, people who find people work for a living. Gonna trust them way more than some lady who thinks I should introduce my professional writing portfolio site with 'Welcome to my slice of the web.'

I told him about the poll and he was worried I was doing it to prove that I'm right.

I honestly couldn't remember where I'd begun hearing the term and had really wondered if maybe there were people who used it differently than I did and if so, what correlation there may be (primarily used X system, played for a long time on Y game, etc.).
