I've been hugely stressed out this week and next week, I fly out to spend two weeks in SC. Primarily with my family.

With my fundamentalist Christian, right-wing parents. My siblings who follow them... except for one, who, sadly, is one of those rare "I think I should get everything for free" dumbasses.

I wish I could cancel the trip, but my mother has spent the past year wanting to see me and at the end of the visit, I come home with my cat. I just keep telling myself that it'll all be worth it to have my fuzzball, but some days it's really difficult.

Start up Special Edition and select Mods from the menu. AFAIK that's the only way to find/add them.

Pick "Camping In The Woods" will start you just outside the cave you exit at the end of the tutorial, with Alduin flying over. It's basically the vanilla start without long ass cutscenes.

So I found a mod. 'Alternate Starts'

... I'm torn. Like, OK, I didn't want to do the base start because I have so many times before, but I also haven't played in a good 2 years... so I need some sort of 'walkthrough' type deal. Ease me in. This mod gives you all these options to just dive in, but some of them put you in hard as fuck areas... at level 1.

But there are options to start as a werewolf or vampire lord.

I've dropped MU*ing for periods of time here and there, but I can't quite kick the habit completely. For the past five years, it's been mostly because I work from home and I'm a terrible hermit (seriously I get my groceries delivered so sometimes I'll go like, two weeks without leaving my apartment >.>).

And teenage mutants are awesome. >.>

Oh god, you're THAT person.

I know, terrible.

I think the main thing right now is for my RL to die the hell down.

Work + school + traveling makes a busy game hard to keep up on. I think that may be part of the issue. I'm in a state of 'I can casually RP in small scenes' and a lot of things on Arx move faster than I can keep up with.

Just an idea.

I'm totally in the 'this is my problem' camp here. When a game is really big, I feel lost and have a hard time connecting with people unless I have an OOC connection (like a channel). The Public channel on Arx is hugely spammy, so I tend to keep it off.

I prefer scenes with less than 5 people because I'm usually either dealing with work or school stuff. That's where the overwhelmed comes from. Once a scene gets big and busy, I simply cannot keep up with it.
