It's a weird feeling. I've had... a number of friends get married the past handful of years where I haven't been invited, but 90% of the 'friend group' has.

However, having been married once and forced by families into having a facsimile of a wedding (it was more of a picnic where we happened to get married)... If you don't have a second brain helping you out to keep track of things, it is so fucking easy to forget people in the shuffle, as it were.

So it is to say: it's a sucky feeling, totally been there... But I've also been on the other side where you're super overwhelmed and you don't want to forget everything but oh god there's so much going on. I do my best (it's hard, it really is, and I flounder at it) to tell myself: "hey, they may have had limitations or just been overwhelmed with invites. It doesn't mean they hate me. At worst, they just forgot about me, and that kinda sucks too but everyone does it sometimes, even me."

So... My thought on why Skill Groups could be good?

People like me. Who love cyberpunk. Love Shadowrun... but have never actually played SR5 (just the Shadowrun games like on Steam... >.>). The Skill Groups would make building a character vastly easier.

Complicated CGs tend to frustrate me. I think I have the Hero system book on my shelf just to thrust at people and go "LOOK AT THE LANGUAGE TABLE ALONE".

Love Shadowrun... Never actually gotten to play 5. So I'm interested IN GENERAL, but I don't know the system.

I looked through all the male chars and only saw 2 that had something like that. And each one it was more of a 'She's pretty hot.' None stood out as a 'omg you totally want to make babies with her' kind of attraction.

I've been sending my resume out regularly. The number of responses I get is underwhelming. I think it's due to the shift from 'people who have experience in a number of disciplines' being desired to companies trying to angle for specialists.

But I'm super glad when I hear of people who manage to nab a new job like you did. Gives me hope I will eventually!

I have an Investigation going. It's been running for a few weeks. I can update/tweak it as needed or start another, but I don't have to do anything day to day... or even week to week.

Now, tasks... I'll be honest, I barely understand the system. I probably should learn it now that we're nearing beta and my char will probably be doing a lot more.

Company switched to a new payroll provider. Insisted to us that it was a perfectly smooth transition and those that had been in the trial group for it had absolutely no issues.

...lo and behold no one got paid today. And no word from management on when we will get paid.

Because man, it's just grand to fuck with peoples' income.

TBH, I just pretend the task system doesn't exist. May hurt me in the long run, but I don't shop them out nor respond to the ones that come in.

I provide T2 support for an online TCG. Sometimes, in the course of support, we need people to send us screenshots.

For the first time, I have spotted a MU*er.

I'd say it's worth trying while on sale. I liked it, but some of the people I tried to get to play with me didn't enjoy it. They also aren't big on the Civ-type games.
