The move is done.

It was hard. I think I strained my ankle. I'm going to be out of spoons (yay fibro!) for the next few days, at least. My hands are so sore and stiff I couldn't make a fist even if I wanted to.

But it's done.
I have a working dishwasher now.
I get two weeks alone before the roommate arrives (I haven't 'lived alone' since 2007, so even two weeks is novel).

And I wrapped up the evening sitting around eating pizza and bullshitting with my fellow Ingress players who helped me out. That made up for everything else. I'm really bad at being able to tell if people actually like me or are just being nice. I figure if you volunteer to help someone move, you like them.

I enjoyed my move out here last year, but there's something about moving cross-country after shedding bullshit like an abusive ex-husband. This? This is just an annoying hassle and I wish I'd had the money to hire professional movers.

I have this utter inability to properly sleep when there's something big happening the next day. Like traveling. A new job. A major surgery.

... or in today's case, moving.

So I'm exhausted and sick with anxiety for something that doesn't 'begin' for another... 5.5 hours.

I often frequent a local joint called Century Bar. It has over 150 bottles of bourbon. And, as the name suggestions, if you try 100 of them, you'll get your name on a small plaque on the wall. Not in one sitting, but still.

I'm nursing a bottle of Knob Creek and a bottle of Woodford Reserve at home. I have Bullitt as well, but that's reserved for my Manhattans.

Bulleit is the bourbon that's dangerous for me. I'll drink that shit straight.

I, too, am 'meh' on scotch. There's a couple I enjoy, but most just aren't as great as people say. I'm picky on whisky, too. And sour mash can go fuck itself.

Sunday was my one day off after working 7 days. I spent it dealing with a headcold (that has cleared a bit, but not wholly).
Tomorrow I move.
Class started this week (thankfully all online, but still).
Saturday I'm helping run a game at PAX.

Then Sunday begins another 7 day stretch of work.

I wish I could go to bed and wake up on September 15th with everything taken care of.

The church up the street from where I currently live has 4 Ingress portals. In PGo, it has a gym and 2 Pokestops. They actually advertise on their sign out front that they're a gym and players are welcome.

Ingress is why those clusters exist.

In the early days, when people could submit portals (and this is a large part of why, likely, Niantic is steadfastly refusing to open crowd submissions)... people submitted based on farms or driving loops (like 'If I submit this and this and this I'll have a portal at every stop sign / light on my commute.').

I go to 'farms' every Monday for Ingress. We have a handful of spots we go. Usually parks. Sit around, have snacks, hang out, and just max out our (2000 item) inventories on level 8 gear.

So yeah, if you find a spot with a cluster of Pokestops/gyms... it's because some Ingressers at one point decided it'd make a good farm.

Well, unfortunately.

The teeming masses whinging and whining for a 'Harry Potter GO' (which is a rubbish idea and I say this as an HP fan; the concept doesn't work unless you shoehorn it in) got their way. Niantic is now dividing their time/attention for that.

There is, also, starting this weekend, Anomalies in Ingress. Those are 'live' events around the world, so they do take up time. And it was their original game.

But yeah, between Anomaly-time and starting on the Harry Potter one (which I'm gonna say now is probably gonna be a shitshow because, again, PokemonGO is not a concept that you can just wedge any fandom into... I mean, hell, Supernatural would work before HP or Game of Thrones), they might not be able to get an update out just yet. They're still a fairly small company overall.
