You'll be waiting a while then, as the Sabbat book is announced but no projected date for release.

RE: Vampire 5E Games?
There isn't. PDFs won't drop until August 2nd when stuff starts going out. People who preorder get a free PDF coupon via email and via the book (so 2 total), and PDFs go on sale then as well, though.
@ZombieGenesis
There was someone who posted a thread stating they wanted to start a V5 MU*, but I don't know how that went, since he seemed like he wanted to automate everything, and there are significant changes that don't make it easy to just tweak the existing WoD code. Plus with the 27 page preview we now have things that, while they'd make a MU* work a little better (Chronicle Tenets and Beliefs, codified character goals and such), there's a lot of material that we don't know what are (Aggravated and Superficial Willpower Damage is one of the biggest jump-outs).I preordered and plan to post a long review once I get my PDF and get it read, as I'm really excited for V5 personally. But I don't think it'll be as simple as 'Okay, it's released, let's make V5 Sandbox By Night' like you can now.
I also don't know how V5 will do with the WoD MU* community when common complaints for new WoD games are 'NO SABBAT NO PLAY' and such, and V5 is explicitly 'NO SABBAT' initially to the point of no rules for them in the first 3 books.

RE: oWoD - Is there such thing as a good one?
I think any WoD game really should have articles on Bleed and management of such as a mandatory reading, honestly. It's a thing that I've seen in both MU* and LARP, and it's something that I feel is a lot more heavy in the WoD. Bleed isn't bad, but it has to be managed.
https://arc-adelaide.com.au/2017/03/10/10-steps-to-manage-your-own-bleed/
https://nordiclarp.org/2015/03/02/bleed-the-spillover-between-player-and-character/
Stuff like that. I've found that addressing that in LARPs has helped immensely in the 'YOU'RE NOT ATTACKING MY CHARACTER YOU'RE ATTACKING ME!' mentality.

RE: RL things I love
I mostly sad because he has some mobility issues; he has trouble using his back legs sometimes, and so he'll flop down and pull himself for a bit, then go back to walking. It's just arthritis in those from what the vets said. He still loves to play and any time he's cuddling and I'm listening to my headphones he's like 'Hey, STRING! batbatchew!' or we'll walk past his bed and he'll go 'MROWL!' and want a treat. And SpecialCat (I will call her that from now on, okay?) sounds adorable. We really don't deserve the fluffs in our lives.

RE: RL things I love
My old man cat (he turned 18 this week!) makes the 'mrrrrrr?' noise when he boops. I love him so much.

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
When you get turned on to a 'deals' website and find that deal that is really awesome and really useful... and it's not available anymore except for somewhere 2 hours away and you wonder 'Is a 2 hour drive worth the few hundred dollar savings?'
-
RE: oWoD - Is there such thing as a good one?
So ultimately you desire is a focused, story-driven game with enough periphery stuff to keep you occupied as things march inexorably to the end.

RE: New Games and Feature Characters...
Yeah, but what do you get out of allowing players to play more than one character, other than potentially neglected characters and an inflated player count?
It's become very clear in the past few years that, in the largest majority of MU*er cases, multi-playing is one of the biggest sources of distraction ('Lol, sorry, I got caught up in another window!' after a half hour of waiting on someone to pose, especially if someone is multi-scening on the same game) or someone jumps a character and does the barest minimum to maintain that character.
Having one character ideally promotes focus, so a guy playing Batman is focused on doing Batman stuff rather than trying to juggle Batman/Brainiac 5/Taserface/Thor/Rocket Raccoon. But a lot of this also stems from breadth of what is covered in a game as well, as I'm a proponent of focused games as well.
That aside, the 'tier' option is an okay idea and about the easiest one to implement, because after that month, as soon as one of the 'popular' guys drops, they're snapped up by the character hogs.

RE: New Games and Feature Characters...
Option 4: Allow players to play one character, period.

RE: oWoD - Is there such thing as a good one?
Thank you for articulating that in a way that was eluding me, which rolls back to something that i harp about a lot regarding WoD MU*s: focus. Everyone has their different idea what the WoD should be, and a lot of those things are not intersecting at times. So it becomes difficult to really maintain any kind of focus without that being constantly guided back by staff.

RE: Why did you pick your username?
Went to WORA, not sure if it would be worth it. I was also mostly active on TF MU*s at the time, so I chose a Transformers name.
So I chose a generic name. Bob-o-tron.

RE: New Vampire Release
So Tobias Sjogren confirmed that you get a PDF code via email when they go available if you preorder, and you get one with the book too, to be able to give one to somenoe else.
This location is probably the best preoder location:
https://www.gamenerdz.com/search.php?search_query=vampire the masquerade§ion=product
Free shipping over $75 from TX, and the cheapest version of the sets I've seen.

RE: New Vampire Release
Right. But it also gives good things for people who are into that, and having the Loresheets do baked-in ties to it is a really neat feature.
Also I just found a couple of US distributors who are selling the preorder; I'm trying to confirm that you'll still get your PDF codes (Dhaunae de Vir said on Facebook that you get 2; one when the preorder ships and one with the actual book) come with them. I would assume they do, but I want to confirm before I order. 'Cause inside-the-US shipping with free shipping is a lot better than an extra $70 for overseas shipping.

RE: oWoD - Is there such thing as a good one?
That's fair. But you also have people who essentially worship Onyx Path for 'inclusion' with things that are just as bad and tone-deaf (a prewritten group of C20 Changelings who are trying to kill the Patriarchy in the Dreaming to kill it in real life, male Crones self-castrating to appease the Goddess and veiled apology for the Patriarchy, and a number of other tasteless 'inclusive' things regarding gay characters, or the entirety of Beast and the overtones and direct pedo-rape character in one of the Beast book's fiction).
Long story short: WoD in a nutshell is far from perfect, and 'good' is only what you, as a player and a storyteller, make it.

RE: New Vampire Release
They are. This is NOT A REBOOT.
V5 ignores the optional Gehenna books, rolls a few things back from the end of Revised (like Anatole's destruction), and then moves forward from the end of Revised, advancing the metaplot and some neat things throughout. The Beckett's Jyhad Diary book is the official 'bridge' into V5, with info on the formation of the Gehenna Crusade and a potential 4th Sabbat Civil War (with Lucita backed by the Inquisition as a Regent candidate), and all kinds of neat plot stuff.
Here's a kinda rundown of the BJD stuff and the mechanical stuff from the alpha from last year, along with bits from various interviews and such.

RE: New Vampire Release
One other thing I meant to/should have dropped, but I was more interested in reading the mechanics is setting info. Theo Bell defected to the Anarchs, as I mentioned. He did this during the Convention of Prague, where he 'fired the first shots that got Hardestadt and Pieterzoon killed' and is seen as something of a messiah to the Anarchs. A couple hundred Brujah left the Camarilla for the Anarchs with him, and he and the Gangrel (so a lot of Gangrel are implied to join the Anarchs) creating Anarch bastions in many cities. He also functions as a liaison between the Camarilla and Anarchs because he takes no shit.
Kinda neat.
