I have heard free booze, Dayton.... now throw in free room, free airfare and free food... I'll be someone's bitch.

RE: RL things I love
Another reason I love you (um in a friendly way or something). I use to throw these dinner parties with themes and I loved decorating the table and making stuff from scratch. Life just sort of blah'ed. I've been binge watching a cooking show and I'm like. Damnit. I'm going to start doing that.

I didn't have migraines during my pregnancy either and my hair was pin-straight and fabulous. It was amazing --- the lack of migraines -- there were other not so amazing things, but this was a +.

RE: RL things I love
I was having a bad day once. Like one of those days that you either need to cry or break something because NOTHING is going right. So I swung into a Great Clips. I walked in and was like I would like my hair washed and blow dried please. No style. No cut. Just please wash and dry it. --- They did.
My day improved.

RE: RL Anger
I use to work in an industry that was appointment based. So I wouldn't get paid if people no showed. Then we got the policy that we'd get paid half time of the appointment but management was always overturning it. "Oh, we'll let it go this one time." So I had a three strike rule. The first time. I understand things happen. The second time. I'm annoyed now. The third time. I refuse you.
It is very annoying though. So I feel for you.

RE: RL Anger
Ehhhh......
As a non-smoker (of all the things) and a parent, I'm going to have to disagree. You don't own the public property. The city owns the park and if they don't have a no smoking rule, you are the dick to roll up on someone and tell them leave. As well, you are a dick in general for rolling up on someone engaged in a legal activity and telling them to leave. How entitled is that?
It is legal to smoke weed in a state that has ruled it so. You can have X amount on you. You can smoke it in public, etc.
If I rolled up on the park and there is already someone on a park bench or hell even the swings smoking a cigarette. I would just relocate to another area of the park. That person has just the same right to be there as I do. They don't have less because they are over a certain age or haven't spawned like I have. This goes with all legal substances that can be smoked. They were there first. We are getting far too entitled.
Now, if it was a school (not public property but hey they tend to let you use their play stuff), then I'd be like whoa dawg. Or if I was there first playing with my child and someone rolled in smoking, I'd be like -- um.. dude, since we were already here, can you extinguish that until we leave or take it over there?
I mean.. this is not a hit at anyone, it's just my opinion on it.

RE: RL Anger
I feel like we should all go back to kindergarten. "Keep your hands to yourself." That was a really good rule.
I just don't think that violence is the answer.
Like Nazi (since we are using this) hates all the things not them.
Nazi is violent and does a thing.
It is not the right show (to me) that you put your hands on them.
It is okay to find a legal ramification against them.
It is okay to educate them out of this thought pattern if possible.I (personally) feel that the only thing that violence begets is more violence. If you are violent against X group, etc. Then you in a way give them an example to point to and prove their point.
It does not go:
Nazi: Grr, Imma do a a thing!
Nazi does thing.
You: Bad wrong
You assault the Nazi
Nazi: Hey, you know you are right. You kicking my ass made me see the right way (aka your thinking). It does tend to go like this:
Nazi does a thing against a group
You throat punch the Nazi
Nazi: See (group) is bad and this is what they did.
Nazi: See (group) is bad and is now brainwashing (their type) to act against us. They must be taught a lesson/eradicated.
Nazi2: My brother has been attacked. We must go teach (you) a lesson about messing with us.I don't mean to get up on my soapbox, it's just one of the things that makes me sigh. It doesn't make me angry, it sort of makes me sad. We are supposed to be 'higher intelligent creatures', yet we tend to resort to using our hands not our words. I also understand that I'm a bit more on the make love not war side of the gambit when it comes to solving issues. Also, maybe I'm over-simplifying etc.
You do not solve hate with hate. You do not solve it with violence. You solve it (to me) with love and education. Riots have never helped a movement. It may have felt good to the person for an act of defiance against the rules. They have tended to harm more innocent people and ruin a cause. They become known (the riot) has senseless, head shaking acts and a lot of times become a selfish sort of twist to them. They take away from the issue at large because of the violence of the issue. I'm huge on everyone getting their civil rights and not judging a person by their life story, or things they cannot help. I just think there are better ways to do it. So, it makes me sad when people are going to be like OMG I'm going to hit this thing to make a point.
TL:DR - Catsmeow went off on a soapbox rant -- Violence does not solve hate; it tends to justify it.

RE: RL things I love
We can start a date Thenomain thread -- have I done this? I feel like I have done this in life. If so, did it work?

RE: Date Thenomain
@Thenomain said in Date Thenomain:
It'd be like hiring Tim Burton to direct, say, the movie adaptation of Mama Mia.
I'd totally watch that.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
Food and I have a brutal, dysfunctional and co-dependent relationship. It is easy for me to drop weight, but it's because I hate food and start starving myself. I also cannot diet. I start out okay, but then I start thinking if I just restricted more and worked out less. Then I lose myself over to it and it's a struggle to fight back from it.
I have found that the whole weight watchers point program works for me so far. It's been painfully slow to my crash dieting, but so much more healthy. I don't completely understand how the points are factored (I don't want to either), so I can't concentrate on calories and obsess over numbers. I just pick what foods I want to eat and see how the points balance. It's been the most healthy approach so far.
I totally understand @Nightshade. I wish I could help. Is there something I can do to help?

I think @Tinuviel meant that the flight was going to last /tomorrow through Sunday/. I don't think he meant the actual distance.

RE: RL Anger
I am horrible at LARP. Also if I'm going to do it, it is for a set time. After that, I want to know the person not the character. I don't want to hear about only MU/RP/LARP/yadda. I like to hang with people when I'm with them. It's my love language. Quality Time and Acts of Service. Just like I require phones down during meals.

RE: RL things I love
So I like nail polish.
I like Essie brand for some of the colors. I decided to go to my local Walgreens with my sister as I was blowing off my walk with her. Essie is like 9-10 bucks a pop. ALL the colors were on sale for like 4 bucks. I may have bought 10 of them.
I regret nothing.

Double post!
Eye rolling. I considered slapping the almost four year old for it. --- Don't worry, I did not do this, but I really really really wanted to.

RE: RL Anger
I liked the books too much and have not watched the Game of Thrones. I'm worried it will ruin my brain movies of them. I know that probably doesn't make sense.
Sportsball - I don't watch it. I don't mind it. I'll watch hockey and now soccer because I realized what soccer players look like and apparently I'm okay in my superficialness.
