I marched.
My calves and thighs and lower back are very angry at me, but I did it. Almost 3 miles, one amongst 120,000 people.
I attended with a couple of people here who I'll let speak for themselves, and another member of the MUSH community didn't march, but was willing to drive us in and out of the city that day, for which I am extremely grateful.
There are definitely a few bisexual men on the grid.
@gasket @Faceless in all seriousness, if you can find it, check out "Kings". It's a really good example of what a modern day monarchy with a functioning aristocracy/noble class might look like.
I am gushingly pleased at how many people seem to love Kings. I was terribly sad that it was cancelled, and cemented my deep, abiding love for Ian McShane. And it really is my model for any kind of theme where you want to have a modern, active monarchy. I've just never really been certain that if I talked about it people would get context. Although, @jibberthehut, who was voting? Was it potential players, or your potential staff, or...?
A modern take, or something along the lines of a 19th century take, might be really cool. My first thought re: modern was something along the line of a tv show called "Kings" that came out some years ago.

Cognitive behavioral therapy is a good route. They'll probably also prescribe you an SSRI, but you'll be referred to a psychiatrist first.

It is. But it is worth it, I promise you. And if the therapist you find doesn't click for you, don't be discouraged! I had actually tried therapy a few years prior to my current with someone who didn't work at all, and my only regret is that I didn't try to get help a second time sooner than I did.
A couple of work buddies and I are discussing the Inaugeration and the Women's March this Saturday. Uninvited male co-worker proceeds to tell us we're paranoid and how nothing's going to be as bad as we're all making it out to be.
Surprisingly, this male co-worker wasn't white.
He then got pissed when I nope'd out of the conversation and took it as my withdrawing because I "knew I was wrong".

I actually loathe this quote. For a long time I couldn't put my finger on why, but I think perhaps it has a lot to do with being as equally judgmental in its own way. The problem is neither the choice to be a generalist nor the choice to adhere to one specific course, but the judgment that either choice is less than optimal or somehow beneath the other. Fuck unnecessary binaries.
