And for the record, @Sunny, I got a response. I'll tell you exactly what I told her: that the reason Emma broke up with Martin was fucking ridiculous and had a double-standard, that I thought she played the field while expecting him to ... what, be 100% dedicated? I was very fucking confused at the pointed pages at the time too, when we sorted that thing out.

And the boring remark? It was about my life. Clearly the part where I went on to talk about being bored with life itself wasn't copy pasted. That's okay, I guess.

But yes. Essentially. This is why I don't endorse it:

• Very little plot.

• Staff is next to nonexistent, having no real presence on the game unless you're in their play circle RPing with their alts (The Royalty).

• When Asherat does actually get involved in running the game, she does not do well. The game has too many players for her to manage in what little plot there is.

• Skaldia... well, you saw. Don't need to go into that, obviously.

Umm...not even going to touch staff favoritism. Play the game or don't. Draw your own conclusion. But there you have it. This is why I think KD is a bad game. That Martin's friggin' player @deadculture popped in to bait people and make veiled threats at me is really a testament to what you're in for playing here. Staff won't bully you directly. They'll get their buddies to do it for them.

There were a lot of people who felt they should get to do 5 actions in every pose or who would totally flip their shit and ooc tantrum if they rolled poorly on SC, but I will say that while I am sure there were a lot of sexual shenanigans, I can't think of anyone where that impeded their other RP. But having to pose failure or not wanting to roll with it? There were quite a few. It was a little mindboggling, because failure with whatever dice system they were using was a regular thing even for skilled pcs. I damn near killed someone on a healing roll a few times, and I had one of the higher stats in the game for that eventually. So after the first few gut punches you'd think that people would get used to it.

I was one of the people who consistently went with the rolls whichever way they went, and I had both characters burning Wyrd like there was no tomorrow. Sans was fucked from the onset in that battle when Momoko got gaslighted into leaving, and Julien had some problems fighting off a gang of psychics who thought he'd gone too far.

Also I don't think that person played Star Crusade, no. The pattern doesn't check out with anyone I knew. I did like mostly enjoy playing with people who weren't Amber or Custodius. I even came around to enjoying Caelwyn in the end, because he was in the same boat as everyone else after a fashion... just with a lot more tanks. Li Halans were seriously lacking in the game, and I think it could've used a Portuguese noble or five.

Note: Li Halans took after Portuguese, Chinese and Japanese nobility.

So that's the answer you get. I did get startled with one thing, though, but I got over it when I thought we'd smoothed it out OOC. I am going to keep pressing for an answer on that, rest assured, because I want to know if, when and where I said that. If I did, I will be the first to acknowledge that I have, and that it was a mistake.

You might want to make sure you know what's going on before commenting on a situation, though. Because I'm fairly sure you don't.

I wouldn't have helped you even if I was asked, so I'm glad you worked it out, though the insults were very typical of someone with rather petty hangups and a nice hair trigger.

As for the problems, I think it's fairly fucking obvious that what set off these complaints are the party and the event that took place concurrent to it. Then it's a rationalization as to why people weren't involved.

@Lorne-eth The stories weren't 'ruined', I had no hand in what happened and I'm fairly sure @Skaldia can back me up on that one, as can @Echx. What I had in store for you was a bit more sinister than what I did take advantage of. Maybe I'm scum of the earth, yeah. I'm a player playing a pretty ruthless character, and if your character is one of the two people whose life he did ruin, well, my bad, you fucked with him first and foremost.

PS: I played a psychic assassin masquerading as a Hawkwood playboy on Star Crusade. I'm sure people have ample horror stories about me, but for all I care, I was nice and tried to be OOCly considerate, but I was downright fucking evil ICly.

PS2: I am not afraid of karma. I can own up to the things I have done without rationalizing them.
