@Arkandel No, sir, I don't think most 'normal' nerds enjoy looking up intelligence news and stuff. That's been out for awhile, though, and some people like to stress things like their Fracture Points methods as outlined in one of those documents.

RE: Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio
@Auspice That's because the guy was more than mildly creepy and projecting onto other people.
Assuming it's the guy I'm thinking about. SirKay and I certainly thought, back then, something was incredibly off about him.

RE: RL Anger
@surreality It's okay. Sometimes all a pizza needs is -- wait, you don't like tomatoes. Oh. God. You gotta stick with some variations of meat pizza and plain cheese. I feel for you.

RE: Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio
@Lotherio The dastardly Lotherio, crusher of hearts and the devourer of medieval games! Hark!
This, though:
@Lotherio said in Realms - Sir Kay - Lotherio:

I started another medieval game, and was involved with another staffer on this game and I caused so much OOC drama it caused some staff split or some such.

I specifically try to meet women through games and have a history of using them and leaving them in a purely online fashion (I don't know how that even works, but I've supposedly dated numerous girls and dumped them on-line).
What the fuck?

I may have gotten wires crossed, here. My 1e roller is complete. It's the 2e roller that's gird-tastic.@deadculture
I had no problem with the 1e advantages. Haven't looked at 2e deep enough.Does 2e even have advantages? The primer I saw was... unimpressive. And to be honest, it's just another iteration of the HOTB system.
...What amount of asking/begging would it take for you to have a second go at the 1e?
Or paying, I suppose!

RE: 7th Sea 2nd Edition
@Thenomain Most coders end up having trouble making CG for it due to the advantages. I think making it manual in some places rather than fully automated as a CG would work best, especially when it comes to things like... yeah, the Patron advantage and so on.

RE: 7th Sea 2nd Edition
@Thenomain So, does that mean you'd work on the 7th Sea 1st edition code you've got?
I mean, turn it more oriented to how MUs function over how they'd function as OTT softcode.
Con*: the system is the same one as Houses of the Blooded; even the Risk/Consequence mechanics comes from that. And I can't say that I was particularly excited about studying that system, either. It doesn't seem feasible for a MU.
In case someone thought the plus was a good thing.*

RE: Shadowrun: Modern
@Thenomain That is an interesting take, and it seems in sync with the genre, yeah. There are no heroes, everything is shades of grey, and the psycho ganger might actually be charitable and the perfect corporate manager is a ruthless serial killer for sport.
-
RE: Shadowrun: Modern
@Thenomain By then, according to the canon in the dystopia, if there are governments they are held entirely in ransom by the corporations. Sometimes, they even get privatized, so you'd get City of X, State of Y, and they're all distinct corporations under a bigger umbrella corporation.

RE: Good TV
I think someone may have already put this up, but Imma share it again:
If she had three dragons Bolton would have been served as a dragon dish on a weekly basis, piece by piece. She's awesome.

@wanderer I downvoted you because you're salty. Now you're double salty, so I'm double downvoting. Keep it up, it's pretty amusing!
People tend to misrepresent it when I write harshly, because if they were to write something like that, they'd have to be furiously frothing. I write such things with cold condemnation, after a life's worth of experiences to base it on.
I'm not going to be your amusement, don't worry. I've been gone for months before and I'm unlikely to return after this.
Kanye generally writes in typical troll language in more serious threads. It's a shame that it's the politically correct type of troll with pre-packaged lines, though. She has the potential, she just doesn't use it.

RE: Do you believe in paranormal things?
@wanderer I believe in the supernatural. I am not particularly religious (well, not in the go-to-church way) but I am rather spiritual. I've seen and experienced things that make me believe in the things beyond. I mostly try to suppress this side around people who are either hardcore Christians or staunch atheists because, in the end, they are both radically against it. The derision and the mockery comes from the same wellspring. I don't believe in ectoplasm and shit like that, but I do have my beliefs' version of spirits, ghosts, divinity and purpose in life. People's experiences with the beyond vary wildly and so I never try to impose my viewpoint on others, but I do understand what you meant about skepticism or just 'being open to the experience'. Some people don't believe in a higher being, that's fine, it's their belief. I do, though.
Science can't and won't explain everything because not everything has a reason to be or makes sense in the world. Rationality only goes so far. That's why religion still exists in the world where science is king.

RE: Ignore users
Slight problem: Sometimes when ignoring one person it screws up the entire page, greying it out and making it almost illegible.

RE: Dragon Age: Smoke & Shadows
I'm with @bored in that feature characters are not always awarded in an objective manner. Auditions or not, your friends or people you like best will receive first consideration, and everyone else will get a declining scale to the very last.
This is especially so when Features do not, and I suppose these are my conditions for a FC to even be playable: 1. have a specific, defined role within the setting (Hawke is an open book, Shepard is an open book -- neither of which make for great feature characters. Hell, none of the Dragon Age main characters do.), 2. are temporary (let's say, they'll last a story cycle and the player could get a XP award for finishing the cycle instead of persisting on keeping the character), 3. Could be possibly foiled/defeated within the context of the story by original characters (because what you want here is the promotion of roleplay, not the creation of near-invincible epic characters), 4. have goals the FC's player must attain before the cycle is over. Even if it's just to set everything around 'em on fire.
Tiers are things I've always disagreed with. While it's nice that people should be awarded XP for running PrPs, giving them more experience points at character generation to do so isn't exactly going to guarantee that. Experience Points rewards for running PrPs could be more substantial, instead, as that will be a greater incentive for all to ST at some point or another.

RE: Kushiel's Debut
@Lithium I am not sure why you chose to reply to that post in particular. Is it arguing just to argue? That's your take on it, it's fine.
