Hey, my boss left an entire week off of my check! Twinsies!

I'm not sure who knows, but their public alpha adventure toned up the casual pedophilia, so, yay?
Say what now?
@calindra
Not really, no. It's just an indication of your agreement. It should be legible and identifiable. Those weird sprawls went out of style once we became accustomed to uniform text. If it was about forgery, then you wouldn't be able to use /s/ Name. But even courts of law accept that on filed documents.
That would mean that someone loses money. Don't you know how the world works by now? (Though I hope nobody sets it on fire, too.)
So, I work for DCS's legal department. We have over 300 kids in our system right now, and there are two of us handling cases.
And today, I get a file. Mom and dad are in the system because... they smoke some pot on the weekends. And an anonymous tipster turns this in. And we are legally obligated to act on this information.
Fucking seriously? THIS is what you think DCS should be using its resources for? Shaming something that is quickly gaining traction on legalization?
Let me assure you, we have better things to do. Like help kids who get the crap beat out of them, or molested, or who haven't eaten this week.
Offenses to you delicate sensibilities are the next office over.
The attorney that I worked for before this job was pretty generous with stuff like this. He wouldn't charge clients for phone calls, for instance.
Unless they pulled this kind of crap. There was a limit to his patience, and if you exceeded it, you were definitely getting invoiced for his time.
Turns out that clients stop doing that when they realize they're paying a fortune for it.
The case law he is referring to really only comes into play in cases where the terms of adhesion contracts are somehow unconscionable. But just go ahead and forward that to legal, to be on the safe side.
Also, #NotALawyerQuiteYet, just to be clear.
it was frowned upon to be the passive half of a homosexual relationship as an adult man since it was considered a submissive trait, which in turn was seen as a feminine quality.
I don't remember this being frowned upon so much. Plato and other philosophers talked about it at some length, especially as it pertained to the original idea of soulmates and the three genders.
Romans, though, for sure thought it had some anti-virtus qualities, but it wasn't, like, actively persecuted. Mostly just snickered at. Which is how Julius Caesar initially got a bad rap while he was banging the king of Bythinia.

Nobody mentioned Pugmire.
Why did nobody mention Pugmire?
I'm just waiting for Monarchies of Mau.
Dark Sun. Or at the very least a DnD game focused on just surviving and getting through the day against impossible odds, where you take what you can get and there are few shortcuts. Maybe Cataclysm-era Dragonlance.
Just anything other than yet another game where everyone lives in a super prosperous city and just collects magic items because there is zero conflict inside the walls.
Also, please yes do allow for evil alignments.
ETA: But seriously, preferably Dark Sun, because it is already basically built for this out of the gate and has cool mechanics.

So reverse that. Make having adversaries the way everything is earned; you are judged by your political enemies, you grow by losing social encounters as much as you do by winning them. The more powerful your major opponents grow the more you do in a symbiotic way.
This would be totally amazing.
Isn't that how you can win one of the Far Cry games?
Motherfuckers, have you read the Illiad?
You have no idea how many times I have said that in RL.
Patroclus and Achilles weren't hetero life mates. Come on. That's made abundantly clear.
I'm two episodes into "Troy: Fall of City" and I can't decide whether it's objectively just not very good or if my recurring sentiment of ".......You cancelled Marco Polo but decided to pay for this?" is just spoiling everything for me.
Same, but with Sense8. Troy is crap so far.
