RE: If you work hard, son, maybe someday you'll RP
Regarding staffing and perks, I never have and never will ask for any perks if asked to become staff. I never have and never will ask for perks if I submit work to a game as a player either. Anyone may hold me to this.
But if I do contribute something, recognition and respect as to the source would be polite.

Where I'd normally agree with you, I think an explanation is more than warranted in this instance. I don't want to get into a long, drawn out debate on the subject, but I will say that considering people were treated as badly as they were by her, they have a right to know why it has taken so long to get an apology.
I think the "why" is personal and largely irrelevant.
As Sunny mentioned, skepticism is warranted. I'm skeptical, personally. But that doesn't mean it needs to be dragged out publicly.
The apology was made. Demanding an explanation is a personal thing. Some may want one, others may not. This is not the greatest place for giving such explanations publicly, and I think it's enough to want to change.
Where that goes from here is up to Kitty Kat. Apologies don't mean anything unless they are accompanied by change, but I think she knows that and I won't presume otherwise.

You don’t need to explain your apology to anyone. The apology is just fine.

Using the Hack a Shaq defense on [Giannis] is a bit of a desperate play and doesn't make Toronto look very good, but it seems to be working. Seems like they just want to get to the finals and don't care how they get there.
So?
The stats don’t really reflect your comment. Giannis has only 9 free throws. He made only 4 of them. That’s hardly a Hack a Shaq defensive jam, or, as others might call it, old school basketball.
Even supposing they were, so what? Giannis wasn’t the Bucks problem. Again, they were inconsistent; Bledsoe showed up finally, but Middleton did not. They needed more than 6 points from him.
The story here is not just Toronto’s defense, but the Bucks lack of focus. They turned the ball over in stunningly bad ways, like when Leonard got a free steal on a bad pass in the 3rd that really sparked the Raptors. They put their focus so much on Leonard that VanFleet got a stupid number of uncontested 3s, most of which he drained. Everyone talks about the Bucks’ depth, but the Raptor bench is really effective, even if they are only using three of them.
All that aside, Hack a Shaq is working because it can work. Budenholzer is overthinking and making too many adjustments out of the Bucks normal game plan. Keep jamming Giannis in until the Raptors wear out, then let him score or
kick, and make sure those shooters have practiced their shot.Leonard can’t net 70 points on his own (right?), so defend his mates better.

It's for a team name/logo on a web portal that only we have access to. Nothing client or executive facing.
So ... Team CSD.

- The Pajama Goats
- The LaserCats
- The Robotic Punchfighters
Is this a trivia team name?
Here are the four that my team has used in the past:
- Go home and hug your little league trophy.
- My couch pulls out, but I don't.
- Team CSD (an acronym for 'crippling shotgun diarrhea').
- That 'Blackfish' documentary was racist!

The plan is to go keto/clean food, to give it the old college try to get my autoimmune shit under control (RA, fibro, chronic fatigue).
I think this is the best way to describe my diet. I like unprocessed foods and ingredients, and prefer steamed, roasted, and baked over fried food.
Except for diet drinks. Now that keto put me off of sugars, natural or refined, diet drinks actually taste sugary to me.

The Raptors stepped up and laid it to the Bucks. Drake as assistant coach/team mascot is key. Giannis seemed out of sorts trying to do it all, but imagine what they could do if they had someone to play with him. Reminds me of LeBron's first go with the Cavs way back in the day.
That's because Giannis, like LeBron, thought that he had to carry the team, being its best player.
Kawhi knows otherwise.
Game 5 is in Milwaukee. We'll see what happens there. A loss for the Bucks would be a death knell.

In a real pinch, I'd even eat a feminist (if she was seasoned properly).
I’d doubt she’d enjoy it, especially were she seasoned.

People who use the words 'No one wants to see...' when discussing anyone else's sexuality.
What I mean to say is "no one wants to see other people happy."
I know I don't.

Live action Anastasia?
Go see the musical.
The pacing sort of sucks, but the music is good.
I will never stop praising The Hunchback, though. The musical score is bone-chillingly good. The choral work is beastly and beautiful.

My desire is, in fact, actually in the negatives; I'm increasingly uncertain I could be paid to watch it.
Of the movies that could use a reboot, the best ones are the movies that did poorly on their own or as a musical.
Beauty and the Beast didn't need one. The Lion King doesn't need one. Aladdin certainly doesn't need one.
The Hunchback of Notre Dame? Could use one. Especially the musical version: Menken and Schwartz at their best.

Okay, what the fuck? It turns out the guy has read almost every book I like, plays D&D (wtf?) and watches the same shows. We've been working together for two years and I had no clue - and he did know, so argh, why not say something so we can bond over nerdy shit? Come oooon man! He didn't even avoid the issue, it just didn't occur to him to say anything unless directly approached about it.
So lies the solution to many of the problems we have online and in real life.

RE: If you work hard, son, maybe someday you'll RP
The post above is an excellent example of players coming up with an idea, and staff running with it. It doesn't require any more code-tools; it only requires the implementation of an idea.
@juke said in If you work hard, son, maybe someday you'll RP:
I really think people have to learn to engage. Besides, these are useful interpersonal skills to have in any arena of life, and this setting is pretty consequence-free as a place to try it on (I'm talking like real, serious, lasting consequences, not MU* drama). There ARE good, kind people out there doing this. I have met many. They'll respond well to honest efforts that have everyone's enjoyment in mind -- whether it's social anxiety causing the speedbumps, or a lack of experience with storytelling, or just plain shyness, or whatever. Even figuring out how to approach people and create a good connection from which to work together is pretty useful daily life stuff...you know?
I said this in another thread, but what I've learned from MUSHing I have applied to many parts of my personal and professional life. Conversely, what I have learned from my personal and professional life I have learned to apply to my MUSHing experience.
I'm good at engaging, so I should engage. I'm good at politics, so I should politic. And I'm good at supporting people in their endeavors, so I should do so in the virtual world. Applying all of these things is good practice for when it might matter more.

But as someone who recently filled out 26 fucking hand written invitations how the fuck are you supposed to write on them because pens don't work due to the fucking wax covering or whatever they have on there, sharpies wipe off and oh my god, I'm so glad to hear it's not just me.
This is me seeing the same fucking kind of invitation for the third year in a row:
If my partner pulls this shit again, I'm just going to print some off and send them out on my own.
(Note: there are ~15 kids in each of my kids' preschool classrooms and daycare classrooms. That's ~30 per kid, and they are twins. We have 9 RSVPs, 5 of which confirmed attendance.)
