Don't call me sir ...
The last few years have seen a really strong polarization of everything, I feel. Is this good or bad, do you love or hate this, right or wrong, like, I'm sorry that life isn't a listicle.
Every posed question here is best answered by Grumpycat.
I mean, Tommy Lee Jones.
I probably do. That place is getting so busy these days, I love it. It's almost like a World of Darkness game, except there's no drama, no supernatural things, and people actually like one another.

Also butthole spiders. I'm unsure if this is incentive or not, though.
You're a smart lad, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

You are wrong and are going to the Bad Place but that's okay! We still love you, you dink.
I hear that the Bad Place has pie.
There's a difference between being a misanthrope and being a bigot.
A primitivist vegan is not a bigot, but is more-often-than-not a misanthrope under hipster clothes.

I LOVE THE GOOD PLACE SO MUCH.
I may be the only thing here that thinks that The Good Place is about as entertaining, novel, or enjoyable as I Heart Huckabees.
He's like a walking, breathing incarnation of that old joke: How do you tell if someone's a vegan? Wait five minutes, they'll tell you.
Around here, I can say the same thing about racists, sexists, and other misanthropists.
A woman that makes grabby-hands at every dude that falls out of CG.
This has never happened to me, ever, and I am eternally sad about this.
I liked The Harry Potter series without touching the books.
I should be able to like the Fantastic Beasts series without hours of expository information.
Re: Sweating and not feeling it. Thats the whole reason i swim. i can push myself and not feel like I am dying. It's been amazing for my health and motivation to keep working out. having a gym nearby with a pool open at 2am is great too.
Ain't that the truth, friend.
When I was competitively swimming, I also experienced crippling foot pain after practices, which was due to me using my legs as my primary propulsion mechanism (as it should be). So, stretching your calves and feet before a swim also helps. Consider the calf-stretch along a wall too, or giving your foot the old grip-and-roll for a minute.
Good on you for the working out, though.
And that fathead dough recipe you gave me was the holy shitballs of the weekend.
But, that might be something to start adding to my mental checklist: if I start getting worse cramps around when I'm dealing with sugar imbalance issues (me and my doctors have never been able to pin down my overall leg issues; it'd be swell if I could narrow it down somehow!).
Your cramps could be due to a selective amino acid deficiency, which is sometimes a side-effect of diabetes. Not having the right levels of amino acids like taurine can cause fatigue and cramping, and branched-chain amino acid supplements can lead to relief from cramping.
You might want to check with your doctor about taking some AA supplements.
If you are getting leg cramps after workouts, it may be due to your diet, and the absence of key electrolytes and/or amino acids. The old “eat a banana” tip isn’t a bad one.
It could also be due to dehydration. Remember: if you are swimming in a pool, the chlorine environment is actively drying you out. And if you’re swimming laps, you are sweating like crazy, even if you don’t feel hot or sweaty because you’re in water. Gatorade used to be my go-to during a 100-length workout.
We're only 15-16 games, in, but:
With Leonard, the Raptors have the best record in the league. They used to be 12-1, but 12-3 isn't so bad.
The Spurs are 7-7, but are looking good with DMDR in a very competitive West.
So, as I said before:
"Well, it's not LeBron James, but I did say that the Raptors could be very competitive if they just added a marquis player to their roster."
Lowry is 1st in the league in assists right now. Just about every player's stats are above their average marks. And who expected Pascal Siakam to tear it up as he has? Plus, you still have that deep bench that's currently rated No. 2.
Looks like everyone benefited. For this season.
So, this is the section at issue, I think:
The recurring international controversy over the persecution of homosexuals is a clever media manipulation designed to keep the focus on Sharia law, away from the true inner workings of the republic. While homosexuals are indeed held in detention facilities for days, and humiliated, starved, tortured, and eventually fed upon and killed, this is not the point. The point is to distract from the truth of what Chechnya has become. That said, even among the Kindred [vampires of the Camarilla] any kind of “homosexual behavior” is punished harshly. ... There is unfortunately nothing we can do for our brothers and sisters in Chechnya who suffer under this — interference is ill-advised at this point, but should any Kindred (or even kine [mortals]) seek asylum within regnums under our control, granting it may win allies to our side who are not just well-trained in combat and thankful to us, but also knowledgeable in the ways of a people who might already be preparing to attack us.
I'm not seeing anything in there making light of the persecution of homosexuals. I'm not seeing anything in their infantilizing the struggle or the killings. I think you would be hard-pressed to find anything in this section that contradicts known truths: (1) that homosexuals are persecuted; (2) that homosexuals are being imprisoned, tortured, and killed; and (3) the truth is not getting to the mainstream media about this.
It will be exceedingly difficult for White Wolf to get back to its previous narrative style of creating a fictional context for modern events, and even more so if it wants to avoid controversy. Frankly, I don't know how else White Wolf could have described the situation. If it provided an "explanation" for the turmoil in the Middle East, would that automatically impugn the dignity and deaths of those who have been killed there? If it provided an "explanation" for why Trump got elected, would that automatically be a "political statement"?
I don't even think this is in bad taste.
This is what everyone who wanted to resurrect the line wanted.
People blasted the New World of Darkness' openness and lack of context. White Wolf went in the other direction, and are being blasted for providing fictional explanations for real-life events.
I'm getting too old for this shit.

At the risk of sounding an unpopular opinion, I don't see much controversial here.
I don't see anyone downplaying the tumult in Chechnya. I don't see White Wolf somehow making light of what's going on there. The Camarilla is supposed to be composed of some of the worst vampires of all time, who prey on the living because that's what must be done. What is happening in that area of the world is horrifying. And that sort of makes sense given the Camarilla's background.
This sort of controversy is going to happen when one creates fictional explanations for real life events and tragedies. I didn't see any outcry when White Wolf wrote dreck for Africa or the Far East. I didn't see any outcry when White Wolf orientalized the Middle East. And the systematic rape, torture, and destruction of Central America seems to be glossed over in favor of mythologizing death cults.
I guess we're all just more "aware" now, but srsly.

So glad I invested all my stuff so far into assassin + hunter perks and eq, to get to the "conquest" battle, which is literally nothing but a "spam basic attack fest" where anything other than the basic attack buttons is useless.
I only have the Shield-Breaker attack, and everything is just peachy in those battles. You can re-arrange your perks, though, for some drachmae.
Stun is a good ability to maneuver behind folks and gut them. Paralyze Arrows are also nifty.
Oh, and the game's advice "go level up and get stronger :D". WOW. Maybe if the enemies would STOP LEVELLING WITH ME.
As I said, it appears that the enemies stop leveling commensurately at around Level 14. Captains and other "bosses" may rise with you, but the grunts seem stuck at around 13 for me. Also, mercenaries remain as they are.
