@tehom Raymond Hettinger said to me and nine other people at a Panda Express: "PEP 8 is a standard you enforce on yourself, not others."

@thenomain hahahaha
For the rest, what camp are you in? "Tuhpul" or "Toopul"?
For those that are lost:
Simplest explanation I can think of:Tuples are () Lists are []
Lists can be changed, Tuples cannot (you can't append, add, or remove things)
In other words, Lists are mutable, Tuples are immutable. -

@icanbeyourmuse Are you computer dumb, linux dumb, programming dumb? If I know the level of dumb and Griatch's guide doesn't help you enough, I may be able to help. I make no promises.

@thatonedude Sometimes I hate the things you say.
Today is not one of them.

@auspice Touche. I think the other nerd group I stalk said they might be temporarily invading /r/MUD.

RE: TMCposted in Mildly Constructive
@auspice I wouldn't be concerned about here. There was a bunch of drama llama stuff going on at TMC. Our drama llama stuff is like a bunch of family at Thanksgiving.

Also, if you need occasional help with random bits of code, I'm always around and am highly motivated by two things: Eclipse Phase and Shadowrun.

@zaroot We're still trudging along. We closed the public doors for a bit while a few major life changes took place, but progress isn't dead. In fact, Tirit and I were just hashing a few old issues out this afternoon.
Just a bit longer(tm) and we'll be unlocking the doors once more.

@Demiurge
The Strange:It is set in a modern-day Earth but the stories are told through a series of recursions, which are worlds based on popular thought/ideas, literary creations, and whatnot. There are thought to be a handful of 'Earth'-like planets that act more or less like anchors, where all of these recursions are tied to these Earth-like places.
Two of the initial recursions happen to be a one where Magic works and you're basically living in a fantasy setting, and another where everything functions under the laws of "Mad Science". I've seen people use Alice in Wonderland as a recursion and even discuss on the side about how strangely perfectly fitting that setting is for The Strange. In the end, any fictional version of Earth is game. Even a DnD Earth.
Character creations is pretty simple:
You have a couple of stats and you basically say "I am a <Descriptor> <Type> who <Focus>s."
I am a <Stealthy> <Spinner> who <Channels Sinfire>.

@coin The Strange: I brought that very thing up in-game. I am debating making a dreamscape to reference the setting.

RE: Dreamwalk MUSHposted in Adver-tis-ments
@wizz Oh, I'm aware. I'm sure what little I did see was a small piece. I am just trying to argue both sides and figure out a good solution is all.... And partially because I really like (I assume you are who I think you are on there) your character concept and would love to see you explore it.

RE: Dreamwalk MUSHposted in Adver-tis-ments
It wasn't the RP aspect that I was getting at. I just very briefly checked out the game last night. I can understand the need for a central IC meeting ground, but I think they could potentially waste the idea of the sympathetic link between the two dreamscapes. I also know (from in-game ooc chat, not on the wiki) that there is a method of mass IC communication of some sort at present. Though that isn't 100% the answer to an IC hub, it could be something at least.
On the flip side, I can see the use for a central dream hub something like a goblin market, or a general marketplace/bizarre bazaar type place could be worth players and NPCs gathering... To do things.
It could also be an actual player's dream to BE that central hub and then to build it more and more as players come together to think of that dream AS the central hub.
I might pitch that idea to the players in the game tonight when I get home.

RE: Dreamwalk MUSHposted in Adver-tis-ments
I was under the impression that the IC shared connection channel could be used as this central hub. What more would be needed?

RE: Artists Wanted!posted in A Shout in the Dark
Honestly, if I had the time, I would definitely hit you up on this. I think this is a very awesome and unique concept that I don't usually see requested. Honestly probably the first time I've ever considered making an artistic type character.

@magee101 The Reach is definitely a top 3 for me. Wing Commander: RH and Shadowrun Detroit (or was it Seattle?) are also up there.
