Color me interested. I'll be even more interested as you build upon your spheres. I like this. This feels nice.

RE: All Star Wars Scenes Must be in Cantinas (with Spoilers)
From what I have seen, Cujo just opened up AoA again with episode 7 in mind. I think he jumped on the idea of having a SW MUSH in the current setting, so relaunched.

RE: FFG Star Wars?
Good luck on this! From what I have seen from local nerds at the gaming store, they really seem to like this iteration of Star Wars.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
Fading Suns + Eclipse Phase. I see FS is out, all I need is my EP fix!
-
RE: Radial Blur
Yay, Fading Suns! The game I lost my role playing virginity to.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
@Thenomain Interestingly, it is in the bundle itself, too. I went ahead and picked it up. If nothing else, I will have fun learning about the system. My local nerding group has apparently heard of it, so we might run through a short campaign to get a handle on things.

RE: Kinds of Mu*s Wanted
Edit: Okay, I was on my phone. So here goes:
I am all for The Strange... Hell, even Numenera. They both look like spectacular game systems to run around in. Could always stick with The Strange and either pull resources from Numenera or just create a Recursion with a Numenera-like theme... or something. I am not extremely familiar with that game system, but it looks like I will be. I'm partial to a card game called Doomtown and for some reason, have ideas of creating a Recursion with that theme. Wild West + Magic + Gadgets! (I'm not a fan of that combo, but the card game is fun)
Shadowrun because I like trolls and assault rifles. That's it. Honestly though, I simply love the setting and have been playing it on and off since 2nd edition.
Shard RPG, originally called Dardunah, but after the creator took the game to a few conventions, a few 'big wigs' in the industry suggested that because of how hard it was to say Dardunah, the game would never take off. Sure, it's a furry game and I've never actually played a furry game, but this game is just amazing. Plus, I know the creators of the game. I am sure that if this were put together, I could bring them in on occasion to chat everyone up. Buuuuut.... The Strange/Numenera dang, those games look amazing and their themes are intriguing.
Finally, there (oddly, my phone changed that to their, partially why I am now on my computer typing this up) is Eclipse Phase. Horror-esque theme, Transhumanism, Space!

RE: Evennia - a Python-Based Mu* Server
I know @Reason touched on the following, but I wanted to remind people in this thread (Reason mentioned this in the ShadowRun thread). Here are several places where you can learn Python programming for free:
@Reason mentioned University of Michigan offering free Course at www.coursera.org/learn/python.
There is Cybrary (cybrary.it)that offers Python for Security Professionals, which is actually set up to take you from knowing nothing of Python to... well... knowing enough about Python to automate some of your security tasks.
Finally, there is Codeacademy (www.codeacademy.com) that aims to be a straight hands on learning experience in a similar (to me) vein as the book Learn Python the Hard Way.
Additionally, local libraries and online resources such as Safari books have a ton of material dedicated to teaching you Python for free.

RE: Shadowrun!
Totally understand. The codebase is Python, which makes it easier for some but a obviously harder for others that have never coded in that language before.
So I just realised (I am terrible at this) that your discussion is over a month old. Sorry for jumping in this thread like that.
Regardless, if you are still looking at working on building your vision of Shadowrun, more power to you, no matter how long it takes!

RE: Shadowrun!
@Lithium Have you taken a look at Deep Shadows? Maybe combining efforts? Not sure what your plans are for theme and whatnot.
Regardless, I am all for seeing a new rise in Shadowrun MU*s.
