    • RE: ISO Collaborators for Shadowrun

      Nah, we're still working on Deep Shadows! We're just being slow the past couple of weeks. I have a break period coming up in 3 weeks where I'll be focusing on getting coding done.

    • RE: nWoD2.0 Support Code?

      I know I'm invoking taboo when I say this, but have you guys checked out the MOO called Sindome? It relies on a strict adherence to IC communications only. ooc chatter is to be kept to a minimum, paging players is frowned upon, IC mail (I can't remember what they call it) and commlinks / phones are used extensively for RP purposes.

      I forgot where I was going with this. I'm not fully awake yet. Pretend it was something intelligent to add to the conversation.

      Just randomly adding in: I have quietly watched streetwitch go from not knowing Jack about programming to this. I am not personally a fan of Mage, but I whole heatedly suggest people to take a look at what this person has done at the very least.

      @surreality I can't believe Cybersphere is still around after all this time. Sindome, too.

      Under 30 days? Still fresh enough to not be threadmancy!

      To any of you who might have been interested in the Degenesis setting, they just released a campaign splat focused around a particular area that used to be France.

      @Jennkryst @Auspice
      I didn't know it was Christmas! I go to bed and wake up to presents!

      Space system written in Python/For Evennia? Mmm. Too much excitement for me this early in the day.

      Would there be an underlying game system idea with associated theme? Game system idea with an original theme?

      Mostly, can I be the fat drunk engineer making whiskey in the closet while repairing shuttles/fighters? Because that would be awesome.

      @Jennkryst

      I miss Hspace, but I doin't think it has been actively developed on for some years now. I think grapenut had something sorta arcade-y up and running for Wing Commander, at one point. I'm sure it's still up. Same for Rince. Can't remember the issues that he was sorting out at the time. I know weapons had issues at one point... Or torpedos/missiles... or something.

    • RE: Deep Shadows - Shadowrun 5th Edition MUSH - Help Wanted

      Got Attributes mostly done. I just need to either put in a check in the code, or a check as the player tries to leave the room to see if the user has over-spent attribute points.

      Been taking things nice and slow (not on purpose, really). I realized if I would just go to a coffee shop for a few hours, I could probably knock out all of chargen in a day. Anyhow, metatype and attributes done.

      I'll probably have the Skills section done tonight or tomorrow morning sometime.

      Clone the game, test in a test environment, find out what works and how to best transition on the live environment.

      Define Scifi. Sindome is like #3 on the overall text based games list right now (aggressive voting) which makes it #1 for Scifi at the moment. I don't know about 2 and 3.

    • RE: Project X

      During my history of gaming, I have frequently enjoyed pop-up scenes at random locations: LIke in the woods somewhere, on the street outside of the club, -int the club-, sneaking from one gang-held territory to the next, etc etc. I like moving about a grid rather than a scene select. Scene selection type systems (not talking bad about faraday's implementation) generally seems to breed exclusive rather than inclusive RP... But that's just from my personal experience as a permanent newbie-style player rather than some sort of awesome factoid.

      @Seamus have you looked at Google's web service? Trying to debate Google vs Amazon for future moves my team might make.

      A couple more games that I think would be neat:

      Dreamscape: Laruna ... Reminds me a little of Exalted. Your character has been blessed with the legacy of heroes and god-like powers that can potentially change the course of history (literally for some of the archetypes).

      The Veil: Because I like cyberpunk.
