RE: MU Things I Love
This week has been FILLED with amazing scenes and events that drive my character's story forward in tandem with others' stories. There are brilliant people on Arx who can string together IC knowledge and make connections with that info that boggles my mind, and I'm grateful to them.

Oh sure, magic is great! Until you're wearing your fiancé like an entrail coat. That's NEVER in fashion! shake fist

RE: MU Things I Love
I created this thread over 6 years ago, which blows my mind. It doesn't feel like it's been that long.
But, it seems like a good focus. MU thing I love these days is telling stories, more than being in them.

RE: RL Anger
RL Anger: when I put on a skirt and a nice top, some lipstick and mascara and I get "Ooh what's his name?"
When did it become the law that you have to dress up for anyone other than yourself? Fuck you mom.

When things go wrong (or at least really unexpected) and that's really why the scene and/or aftermath turns out to be memorable and awesome.
Certain players have a flare for that. I was in a scene recently where my character was supposed to have a simple thumb war with another character, and it ended up in a full-on brawl in which we both came away winners (I got something my char wanted, he created several scenes from the encounter which is what he wanted). Great times!

Trying to put a bra on after just doing your nails so you can go out in public and be decent.

RE: The Shame Game
Take note of the people who give real, thought-out responses. Then note the people who go 'ZOMG you're so wrong why are you so wrong how dare you start this subject'. The latter category probably shames out of the enjoyment they get from putting others down, the secret thrill of being an asshole. The former, probably somewhat out of the hopes that behavior will be adjusted if named. Somewhat.

RL Thing I Love:
People who want to help you, and then do help you. Those people are fucking awesome.

RE: Let's talk about TS.
I could see this going badly. 'I swiped right and nothing popped up. They don't like me! OMG I HATE THEM!' and cue OOC drama.

RE: @Arx: Anonymous Messengers (Answered)
Yeah, women take way more shit (mostly from other women) for anything at all than men do, on the game.

RE: The ADD/ADHD Thread (cont'd from Peeves)
Unrelated but inspiring, I've been watching a bunch of Emily D. Baker on youtube. She's very open about her ADHD diagnosis and struggles to make it work within her career (lawyer/legal analyst). Highly entertaining, if anyone is bored and wants a breakdown of high profile law cases alongside great empathy and understanding. Unsurprisingly, the majority of it right now is Depp v. Heard but if you dig back further there's a lot of other great content too.

Great scenes and great friends
The brilliance of clues and finding one that you'd forgotten about that provides you with interesting RP and theories and direction
The decision to get matching tattoos -
RE: Random As...
Sounds like this could be a "RP vs. RL: how to balance" thread. Definitely a valid topic for a lot of us, I think.

Really nice, kind game staff @Crawfish I'm looking at you. Now about that list...

RE: What does Immersion mean to you in MUs?
Immersion means when I am addicted and CAN'T STOP even though I tell myself I can. I CAN'T! THANKS A LOT, @Apos
But for real, as long as there's a vivid world, a compelling story, and a character that fits into it all, I consider myself fully immersed.

You are not contracted, obligated, or otherwise forced to do so, but if you include people in your character's play-space, you will become more popular and you will enhance that person's experience knowing that they will do the same for you.
This is such a lie. I cannot count how many times I have experienced/heard from others "Well I invite you to all of my stuff, but you don't invite me to yours." MUSHing is an inherently selfish experience, where 9 and 3/4 times out of 10, people will take what they can get while excluding others who give them RP/plot for justifications x, y, and z. Maybe they're even legit justifications. But not usually.
