When some sort of IC drama that involves your character has apparently been going on for awhile and pops out of the blue to take you COMPLETELY by surprise, and you find yourself laughing and thinking 'omg how did I not see this coming?' but then feel mostly proud that it was such a non-issue for you.

Anyway I'm... so tired of this.
I've seen the toll it's taken on your mental health, and while I don't intend to speak on the details in public, now or ever again, just know that I have appreciated your support. But on my behalf, I hope you don't feel the need to engage with it any further, to the detriment of your own balance and well-being. I said what I needed to say and people will believe or disbelieve according to what feels right to them. I think it's okay to just let them do so.

FOMO and MUSHing
Anyone else get this? The desire to log on just so you don't miss out? It's like on FB when you see your friends posting pictures of all the great stuff they did that you couldn't go to, only on the MU it's logging on to find out you missed out on this amazing scene that all your friends are talking about. So you log on more and more often because you don't want to miss out on the next one. Even though you really should be doing X, Y, and Z RL stuff. I feel like there should be a 12 step program for this.

RE: The Pack Discussion
@Macha as someone who has been dragged through the mud by much of the same crew, I'll offer some unsolicited advice which you can choose to ignore or not, but it's meant well.
Ignore them. Let it go, as hard as that is. These people are not your people. It may feel like you need to convince them; you don't. It may also feel like the end of your world/MUing experience; it's not.
Eventually, these things have a way of coming to light. It happened for me. And when it does happen, they won't say anything about it because it's embarrassing to admit they've been the abuser/enabler all along.
And that sucks in the moment, but it gets better faster when you just move past it and let it die.

Another Bennifer bites the dust. Ben Affleck gets divorced because it's legal to marry Matt Damon now?

RE: Spying on players
I don't get spying for "secret" feels. If you're really that curious, ask people how they feel about you. I, for one, am happy to tell people if I think they're a bag of dicks. Just ask!

RE: Goals as a ST/GM
Depending on the scene/story, one of my core goals is to focus on helping the character evolve (or possibly devolve) by providing them with (hopefully) difficult choices to make.

I appreciate the extra info on Helix. For those concerned, Simulacrum has said they do have a way to contact Helix for any technical issues the game might face.

RE: RL Anger
It is exactly this type of argument that has made shaming, of any kind, into what it now is. People have transformed dickishness into "them vs. us". OUR pain is far worse than your pain. WE face systemic discrimination. YOU only face social insecurity and animosity that could lead to some mental disorder or other issue <insert any number of things here>. That's not nearly as bad as not getting a job you probably wouldn't have wanted to work at anyway because of the discriminatory assholes who work there.
How about WE don't trivialize ANYONE? Stop all the body talk. Period.
Edit: let me add this excerpt, for anyone who thinks there's no systemic discrimination involved in skinny-shaming:
"It's a feeling that Frances Chan — the Yale University student who was nearly expelled for being too thin — can relate to. Last December, Chan went into the student health clinic to get a breast lump checked out, but was, instead, accused of being anorexic and threatened with suspension unless she gained weight."

Hah. Somebody downvoted you and it wasn't me. Dude. So over it. It really was too long and pointless to read past the first couple of excerpts. The last one was mocking you, though! Do you even lift bro???

RE: The Shame Game
@Arkandel You can get a reputation as a prude (shamed for it, even) for wanting to FTB on the TS, depending on the game/players on the game. Calling them morons doesn't make it less true, even though it's true they're morons. How is it different?
