Not that you are, but I haven't heard this in a while.
(Probably NSFW)
So I do Youtube videos and as you guys might know I sometimes do a stream on Twitch as well. I'm going to do one tonight in fact.
It's my birthday Thursday and I want 100 subs on Youtube for my birthday. I know it's not world peace, but I figure babysteps, right? But I work on Thursday and hate people so tonight I'm going to have a "party" (That's actually a lie, I stream every Tuesday night.) I'm not above begging.
I've got a lot of you as friends on Steam and my library is public so you can see what I could play. (And there's more you can't see when you consider GoG and console games. Some people think I'm entertaining, and they say I play games they are interested in... but not enough to actually play themselves. And if you are on one of my various friends lists, don't worry, I won't ever record you without permission if we play.
Oh and if you dig around there is a video with Cobalt and lots with Thenomain as well, if you wonder what they sound like. I should be doing more videos with "That Theo guy" again soon... assuming we can get our times synced up. But I'm not exclusive to him and am open to playing with other people as well. Like I said, I don't record everything.
Seriously, cable is not that fucking important. If you are going to loose your shit and go on a tirade about someone trying to help you out and threatening to complain so that they will be on the unemployment line... for a service you don't even actually pay for? Fuck you.
Sometimes I wish I was a waitress so I could do something to your food. As it is I have to figure out how to get extra middle fingers, so I can give you the middle fingers you deserve.
I'm as bad as Hitler? Really? Because you can't watch a show? But thank you for calling at 2am so I can't even give you the 3 warnings and pass you on to management because they are gone now, and therefore I can't hang up on you after the three warnings, or loose my job. It was lovely. I know you weren't drunk, just very very angry. Honestly I think he would have reached through the phone and hit me if he could he sounded so angry. I seriously wondered if I would need to call 911 for his wife... until she got just as screechy. Also if you want free credit? Not the best approach. You want a free month? Have a free month of fuck yous. Credits are at my discretion, dickbag.
Tip to anyone playing a vampire who decides to play the long game and torment people; mess with their cable. They will absolutely lose their shit.
So I did a thing with Greenman Gaming.
And I also made my birthday goal. And then my video editing software died and now I'm looking for a new one before I sink money into it. Timing is fun!
I learned to drive in a snowstorm. I was really lucky and the three guys in the car with me all had their licenses, so they were basically going to the lower insurance rate of taking driver's ed. So I got a lot of practice. Here you test in the month of your birthday, so April. There was a lot of snow, and the instructor even said I could re-schedule if I didn't feel comfortable. This was at 10:30 am. I figured if I could pass in a storm and it was safe enough to take the test, I could drive any time.
I passed. The test was an hour. They cancelled school at noon.
All the people who had birthdays in the summer? Ditches the next winter.
But everyone here is acting like it's their first snow. Even though we've already had nine storms roll through. But for some reason everyone was going bonkers over this one.
As if a meter of snow in one shot is a big thing.
@Wizz Luckily my cave had a small hole that sentinels could get into, and nothing nasty... so I attacked those damn little robots to see how they got in, and were able to blast my way out.
My fault, really, I never got into Minecraft so I never learned how to properly slope-mine, I guess.
In other news, there is a dude who hasn't left his starter planet yet, and has everything maxed out; suit, ship, toll.
@Auspice I wonder how she feels now since you can pretty much sneeze and get 5k gold.
Pretty much by having +events code in, and allowing people to go nuts with PrPs. So long as they aren't stopping the apocalypse in a PrP, or blowing up the grid without pre-approval, (I mean, if someone wants to run a PrP where they blow something up, as long as they provide a destroyed desc for the building, or whatever, go for it.) But also I don't want to focus just on MotW but also throw in a bit of Warehouse 13, and SCP Foundation, to get cursed artifacts and objects.
There will be a meta plot, but it'll be in the background. Hunters aren't supposed to have a long shelf life. If the game manages to stick and is around for years, I want new people to be able to jump in with what's going on and not have to worry about everything that happened in the past. Most plots will have a limited time as well, but if people can play only on Tuesdays hopefully they can do something to whether it's running something for other people, or going out on a hunt themselves.
I don't expect it to be a huge game and am going to look at it more like an online tabletop, so hopefully keeping people busy when they would like to be, will be doable.

We have something new! It's a spoiler tag!
I see this getting the most use in threads like 'Good TV,' but it may come in handy elsewhere.***Click here for spoilers!***

ETA:
Ok, so the 'title' part of it doesn't work quite right, but! The rest seems to.
What happens when you quote someone?
Whoops! Just needed to scroll down more.
Wasn't WORA before and after SWOFA?
I forgot how long ago Home Alone was, and now I feel old.
@surreality Exactly. Or the ever popular: powered by followers. Used to be the shit, but were forgotten and now people don't give two shits. I just don't want people to think they are unkillable, because everything is. And also, depending on the thing or the intervention can come back too.
I mean, it wouldn't be supernatural without the ability to come back somehow. Probably not make a deal though, I mean the demons can probably get you easier with the virus. But if you're desperate enough... know the right people, who knows?
@surreality Don't blame me! I've been getting up at a time I normally go to bed this week! How do people do this!??
Waking up before 2pm is just not decent!
Also it's been a week. That is way fast to be pessimistic. We've cleaned up the boards, channels, jobs. We've had people returning from way back when, had scenes going just about every night with plot foo. We've had respecs and new characters and... it's been a week. Not sure how much faster things are supposed to go, honestly.

@tempest said in Genosha (Interest Poll):
PSA (to everybody around here, not just Riz) : Stop posting about how "you're thinking about making an XYZ game" or saying you're working on a thing MONTHS AND MONTHS before it's ever going to happen. You're completely killing any "opening excitement" your game could have had. People stop giving a shit after a few months of seeing you post about your stuff.
If I am going to pay for a server, and a coder I'm going to make damn sure that people are interested enough in it to be worth my time and money, even if it's just for a small number of people compared to hat a big game might pull in. If there is minimal or no interest after I've put in that money would be a waste for me. If there is only table top sized interest I might try to do something on Discord, Fantasy Grounds, or Table Top Simulator.
I will agree that advertisements probably isn't the best place for a game that's not open in any way, but that's already been dealt with.
@auspice Belatedly, and may not be an issue with the new area; and probably not easily doable with this forum because it seems pretty lacking in easy code things, but what about for ads locking them to a group. The game owner would have to say MSBPoster 1, and MSBPoster2, are staff, could you add them to our group, and then if someone leaves staff the Game owner would have to contact you guys to have them removed from the group for official threads.
But you could also still allow random people to post because they just found this really cool game and want people to know about it and lock it up. If a game then wants an official ad made they could ask for a group. I mean if you are proud of your game and staffing, why not have a badge by their name?
Not sure if groups can work this way or not, but they seem under-used.
