Yeah Extra Life Org specifically is streaming PUBG all weekend to raise money. Generally they announce when the yearly even will be around April, and you can start taking donations then, even if you don't play until November, and they accept them each year until December 31st.

RE: Fallout: Montreal
The cover of Radioactive by Lindsey Sterling and Pentatonix is good, I like it a little more than the original by Imagine Dragons.

RE: Darkwater: The Return
Double post! I don't care!
I just want to thank everyone who has come back and paying attention the announcements boards! Seriously. There is always talk about how slow staff is sometimes, but sometimes waiting on players is just as bad. Or worse! So like, thanks for that!
Also we have a couple of new people approved too. And an event tonight. Things are happening!

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@zombiegenesis And it is just really hard to read inflection and intent when using words too. Moderation is subjective on that really. None of the mods are mind readers, if they are they are probably keeping it a secret because I know I would be all about asking if they knew winning lottery numbers, like all the time.

And I get bored and offer to torment players... whenever I'm bored.

@surreality Practice makes perfect? But also, take it from me, people will watch anything You just need to market yourself well.

RE: Book suggestions
Ready Player One. If you are into audio books, it's read by Wil Weaton.
If you consider yourself mildly geeky and remember any part of the 80's (or really like the 80's even if you don't remember it) , you should read it.

RE: Shameless Self-Promotion: Extra Life 2017
I got my goal, and passed it! Thank you Theno for coming and streaming with me, and anyone who came by and said hi, or even dropped a like; it helps generate more attention to it going on. My goal wasn't huge, but I'm just a tiny channel, and I can say I am proud to have raised $3000 over my time doing it. I very nearly ended up at the hospital I was playing for, so it has a weird special place in my heart doing something like this.
If you missed the stream or want to donate still all the donation pages will be open until December 31st. Just because I reached my goal doesn't mean I'm just going to forget about it. Like I said, if everyone donated $0.25 for every hour I streamed, that's $6, and every little bit helps. If you were waiting to donate to see if I actually would do it or not:
If for some reason you want to see the whole stream because you need background noise or something the video is here (although as of posting it's still processing and only shows the last two hours.)
As of the email sent out this morning to thank all of the participants Extra Life over the years has raised $ 7.3 million. My first year doing it, it was pretty small, and I remember watching them do the ticker of all the donations coming in and we broke the counter. The first year they had raised $120, 000, so they weren't expecting to get $1 million, and the counter went a little bit nuts. Andit felt so good to be part of that.
And I know he's never going to see this, but I am going to be saying thank you over and over to this man for a while, whether he sees it or not, but THANK YOU, BOB! Not only did he give me a huge donation, he got up at stupid o'clock his time to start at 5 am his time, he streamed and played with me the whole 24 hours too. (He may have also blown up the sleeping area. >.>)

RE: Eldritch - A World of Darkness MUX
I really don't know if it'll work, but have you tried logging in with the IP address, rather than the name one? Whenever I have issues connecting that seems to work for me, anyway.
(Also maybe stop using Macaffee)

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@deadculture I mean there are people on Twitch who do Origami, no clue if they swear or not though, but if they are an affiliate you can send them bits among other things.
@auspice As I said earlier to @surreality that people will literally watch anything, you just need to market yourself to get people who would not normally be interested to watch.
There are streams where people just eat. Nothing else, but eat.
People will watch you knit and or do origami and swear.
Also you can set your stream 18+ and then they have to agree. Just don't go off on a racist rant or anything.

RE: Shadowhunters MUSH
Personally my problem with "Being gay is bad, so say the Clave, so it's IC" is that The Clave isn't exactly terribly consistent. Sure they are old fashioned and stuffy but without being too spoilery you have one person, who was formerly a Circle member who can't leave and is basically tortured whenever he thinks or talks about the Circle. Then you have another family who are high up on the social ladder, running things. And since people aren't allowed to talk about it, not everyone knows about their past.
Sure it's done for dramatic effect; but if you already have one rule for some, another rule for others, it's pretty hard to stand behind "This one rule for everybody, always." (In my eyes, anyway)

RE: MSB, SJW, and other acronyms
@insomniac7809 I get that, I guess I just don't get the people who want the label and are trying to take it back. I mean, does doing good need a label? If you stand for something, stand up for it. I'm not saying being an SJW is a bad thing, but if I ever used it, it would be using it on people who are already acting like asshats in the first place.
Again it goes back to the whole intent thing and not really being able to read tone in writing.

RE: Gamertags
Lists are good! Arise!
Also, still have a discord for people who want to find games and stuff with other people. Anyone who is part of the Soapbox channel can make Soapbox people too. I mostly use it to advertise my streams and when videos go up, as well as a few creators friends of mine. I know some of you stream, so if you want in on announcing it, let me know and I can add you too. I only ask that you, you know, actually are on the channel if you want me to post links. Don't have to say anything, just be there and pretend you are part of the community. >.>
That and keep it civil. The channel is called Soapbox because we know each other from here, it's just for finding people to play video games with and talk about video game things.

RE: Reactions to 08192015 Update
Yeah, the icons in the middle of the age make this hard as he;; to read, which is what happens when I pick the go to the last place you were on Chrome. Or the last button too.
Add me to the why was this needed? Pile.
Also it took me a while to even reply because there were arrows.

@ganymede Why can't it be both, and a finishing move?
