Alan Wake will be 90% on Steam starting tomorrow, because as of March 15th it will be removed from Steam and Xbox Live because of music licences running out. You'll still be able to play it, just not buy it digitally until / if they change things. (Since there was a rumored sequel maybe they will fix it?) Also, this doesn't seem to effect New Nightmare, just the original game.

@Misadventure it's working then! Games that are eligible for GoG/Connect are only around for a limited time, so you need to check every week or so, either on the connect page, or the GoG home page since they announce it. If you don't claim them during the timeframe, they won't be on your GoG Account. (It feels like it's about 5 days they stay available for.)

Also, because they reached 200k followers on Facebook, GoG is giving away Fantasy General for 48 hrs. (Saint's Row 2 was 48 hrs too, so grab it soon!)

Saints Row 2 is free on GoG right now. 3, 4 and Gat out of Hell are all on GoG connect right now too, so if you have them on Steam, they are essentially free, and DRM free on GoG too.

Since Blizzard is coming out with an remastered edition of Starcraft, they are giving the original for free.

I know it wasn't an early access game, I was commenting on TNP's comment about beta testing, and that being the reason I avoid them, generally. I don't mind beta testing; I do it often, and find lots of bugs. I just don't like paying to beta. Sometimes they work, sometimes the game is permanently in early access and die. It's always a chance.

@TNP It's usually why I avoid early access games.

Chivalry is free on Steam right now until the 28th, and if you grab it now it'll stay in your library.

@ixokai That's true, but the complaint also was that they said more options and didn't really follow through. They did though, with seven for male, and seven options for female. It's what, two same sex, two hetero options, and two bisexual, and one mono gendered option. (Asari look female, but that isn't how they reproduce. I get it it sucks if you don't like the look but if you are a female and have no interest in hot, alien girl on girl action, you only have 1 romance option.)

Seven options for a video game that has actual sex scenes. Even from a company that let you bone sexy aliens before. So I guess I was responding more to the wish they had carried through comment than the two comment.

@Thenomain Yeah but just because you happen to want to have sexon a unicorn, shouldn't mean you are stuck with a particular ending. It should be the sum of your choices that matter, not your kinks when it comes to an ending.

But yeah, they should have checked some flags better in Andromeda.

There are more than 2, putting behind a link because spoilers And they've been adding to it as they find them. (7 options each so far. Some of the characters overlap and go both ways).

Apparently they are a while in, and unlike say Witcher 3, the romance choices you make early on have no repercussions on the story depending on who you bang, when.
