@arkandel
It did not look as terrible as I thought it would.

I don't play it but my brother does and I like to sit and watch him play it. He is a huge DBZ nerd. -

Yeah I am too. I think with better direction and a bigger budget Netflix can really capture the essence of the novels. -

The games take place after what occured in the novels. The game devs did not want to try and retell the story Sapkowski did but add to it and expand the world. In fact, when asked in an interview Sapkowski did not canonize the games or say that he considered it an alternate world but that he considered it a new piece of art inspired by his works that should stand on its own.

I could not stand Yennefer as a character and I'm glad that Wild Hunt addressed Geralt's compulsion regarding her.

RE: Book Recommendations
I just finished the Necromancer Chronicles by Amanda Downum. A pretty good trilogy of books. I recommend'em.

I want My Time At Portia so bad. But not on Mac. Q.Q
I have finished my review play for the game and I want to just note to anyone who likes the Stardew Valley/Harvest Moon kind of games - this one is going to hit all the right notes for just that kind of game. I think it will be a popular streaming game on Twitch too.
Now it is an Early Access game but I feel that it falls into that category of rare gems. It is a very well polished and content filled game as it is right now and should only get better as the Devs put more time into it.
And its only $20 on steam right now. A perfect price point for EA. I suspect it might see a price jump once it comes out of EA.
It also has a free demo.

The Witcher 1has an odd combat control method that at the time they probably thought was innovative. And it is true, once you get out of the prologue of the game it picks up and gets a lot more interesting storywise but all the complaints I ever hear is the combat is not intuitive and is the biggest obstacle of enjoyment to the game. -

There is a mod that you can download for the Witcher 1 that actually offsets the learning curve for combat and streamlines a lot of the game's old issues. It was developed by one of the Witcher 3 devs after Wild Hunt came out. Most people can skip the first game easily enough but I do recommend the second game. It was an enjoyable playthrough and is a great lead in to Wild Hunt - you can even bring over your save file.
But if you skip 1 and 2, you're going to find that Wild Hunt is hands down the best open world RPG that has been released since Skyrim. And I do not foresee anything changing that until CDPR releases their Cyberpunk game.

School Project Request
Hey guys, my cousin Bradlee is doing this 'around the world' school project. Part of the project is asking people in different states and countries to send him a post card with a simple greeting to his school's address.
If you feel like you want to help a kid out and kick out a post card I would appreciate it.
You would address it to:
Bradlee Browning
P. O. Box 162 Hamden, OH 45634Thanks!

RE: Good or New Movies Review
Having seen a lot of the work Max Landis has done, I have not found his dialogue to ever be really bad. Even his novice efforts in Chronicle were not bad and if you have not seen Mr. Right - well I enjoyed the shit out of that movie. Although that might be because I also like Sam Rockwell.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@auspice The movie is very well done. And its not the kind of movie that seems like it would set up for a sequel but I would not mind seeing one if the director maintains his quality vision that the first one has.

You really need to do a lot of adjustments if you want to use KB/M. But you are better off getting a dual flight stick set up and mix that with your KB/M usage. And as Auspice pointed out there are voice command options that you can get, which make things a lot easier and quite a bit of fun. -
