I agree with none of this actually. Your analysis is spot on. And if you added the the Bushwacker - it comes off as an even weaker mech choice.

So the Shadow Hawk Pack pre-purchase package is just a skin and a wallpaper. Not an actual mech. Probably not worth purchasing.

I agree. But for game balance a Shadow Hawk, provided it is the right variant, is not a bad choice.

I'm a backer for the game though - I better get this Shadow Hawk that's all I have to say. Lol.

I loved , Sunshine, Coherence, and Maggie. The latter two were well done indie films that never got a lot of prime time notice. They should have.

I'm going to toss The Autopsy of Jane Doe and 1922 into the wonderful indie film horror movies people should watch, too.

Humble Bundle is having a sale on some specific games, not specifically bundles in this case.

I want to highlight The Long Dark, which is on sale for about $8 for the next 13 hours. This game is pretty great for people who like survival games but the devs just this past year also rolled out the first part of a pretty interesting and compelling story mode for the game that they are releasing in Episodes, but are so far not charging anything extra for those.

So its something I would recommend for those who like that kind of genre. The music is pretty decent too.

It was billed as a horror movie. By the amount of people laughing at it, I think our theater thought it was a comedy.

I hate. HATE!...knowing that there are three restaurants in Cbus that do not have working fire alarm systems - that their systems are yellow tagged and have been reported to the state. And that they will not come into compliance until the state makes them in 3-6 months.

And I can not say who they are to anyone.

No Netflix launched their reboot the past few days, 10 episodes. Huge budget.

The new show is decent, but it's nothing outstanding. It's worth the time if you've got nothing else pressing to watch in my opinion.

Thanks. I'll wait until I have dead times with nothing else to watch.

Netflix's Lost In Space, worth watching or a pass?

    • RE: Real life versus online behaviors

There are a lot of studies that you can probably google that discusses these kinds of things. My take on it is that on the internet it is far easier to find a group of people who not only share the same kind of mentality but also support it - and because you can find these groups of people a person is not left feeling alone in expressing those impulses.

I think it goes back really to a form of internet culture tribalism - which the internet makes readily available. A person can find their tribe and then through the internet they are able to express the culture that tribe gives them. Then you have places that encourage or at least provide support systems for the kinds of internet tribalism that encourage negative behavior - like trolling. There are no consequences for the negative behavior inside the virtual environment and anonymity means it is easier to engage in negative behavior because, in many cases, there is no risk of disclosure of one's true identity.

I want to recommend The Limehouse Golem for anyone who likes some good mystery horror movies. It stars Bill Nighy and for a movie that I did not see advertised anywhere was really quite good.

I felt that way when they cast Ehrenreich. I think that Scott Eastwood might have been a better choice among the final few that were being chosen from the final auditions.

Yeah but that made it unexpected in an FPS. Usually the game stories are pretty shallow or just secondary to the 'shoot people' aspect of the game.

OH the NPC companions. I don't know. I use doggo and plane guy the most. Headshots are stupidly, stupidly easy to get so I tend to not bother with companions that use guns. They're inefficient. (Is there some kind of aim assist on PC? I swear, headshots everywhere.)

I meant both but my language was not clear. 😄

      @Insomnia
I was told that there is a chance one of the DLCs will be all about alien invaders instead of adding zombies, like the current trend seems to be.

The Line broke the mold as a casual FPS because the story is the more important aspect. It is a damn good story at the end of the line, in my opinion.

Do you think having the new companion style of game play makes for a more interesting game for FarCry?

Okay. At this point I would be inclined to think that it is a hardware issue without being able to do further testing. If you know someone with an external optical drive or who might have a computer they swapped out of in the last year with an optical drive you could borrow to swap with yours, that will expand your testing options.

What kind of PC is Compy? And is the dvd drive an aftermarket drive or one that came with the system?

At first blush if the disk works fine in other dvd drives but not in Compy, even if other disks work in Compy that would still point to a hardware issue. Also make sure that the Patrician 4 disk is not warped in some way, that you can only see by setting it flat on something.

There are some brand of dvd drives that start to show this problem when the drives are going bad - notably the optical drives in Dell pre-built systems and Samsung CD/DVD drives.

The Ubisoft weekend deal on Steam, has some amazing deals.

Ghost Recon Wildlands for $20 to start. That is a steal at that price.
