Do you like card games? Do you like roguelikes?

Slay the Spire is an Early Access game on Steam right now for about $15 that fits both of these categories. Unlike many EA games, and I am often one to say do not buy Early Access games: it is polished, has a lot of content, and is addictive and fun. And the price point is spot on.

So for those interested in these kinds of games I wanted to highlight this hidden EA gem.

      @surreality
So far as I understood what I learned from my history courses. The War Crimes Act that was established after WW2 by the Allies was for the collection and evidence gathering specifically on those soldiers and commanders who knowingly were committing war crimes and looting.

The standard soldiers who were pressed into service, 'volunteered' to protect their families, or were part of the standard military when the war broke out were only caught up in these prosecutions if they participated in acts that fell under those statutes.

It mostly targeted soldiers that were specifically those of the SS and those units responsible for moving stolen loot/property and those who were stationed at the various concentration camps. It also had the broad expanse to allow the allies to prosecute sympathizers under the same statutes.

If I were to write a full movie review, now that I have had a night to digest the movie and think about it - I would agree with everything you've said.

It will definitely fall into that guilty pleasure category for me since I intend to introduce it to my brother and watch it again with him.

Saw the Last Jedi finally. I gave it a 1 star review on RT.

Bright on the other hand is fantastic.

You might be able to do it logging onto your Uplay account through their webbrowser. It does not say through the Uplay client how long it is available for.

    • RE: Do you buy your RPG books?

Pretty much the same as Gany...

...except for books that are out of print or very very hard to find hardcopies of. From con networking I can get almost anything that anyone would want that falls under those categories. In PDF of course.

@ganymede Didn't he say that he would turn down any offer to direct in Star Wars? I think Abrams is up for Ep 9.

There's Jedi in it. At least one Dark Jedi. Some space combat too. Pew pew.

@ganymede Yeah. UP was a happy joyful experience in comparison.

I speculate it will make a lot of money and still not be good.

Yeah that trailer for the game is particularly brutal and was wholly unexpected. I expect TLoU 2 will be as emotional as the first game was. And it was one of only two games ever that made me feel like my heart was ripped out of my chest.

@royal I do not know why but for some reason I picture a Danny DeVito Redcap standing at a bus stop and then looking around to make sure no one is watching and then unhinging his jaw and wholly devouring a child. Then walking off like nothing happened with a casual belly rub.

@ganymede This game can not come soon enough. I am trying not to have too many expectations for it.

@royal Man. I could see Danny DeVito in an OWOD setting as a redcap.

@bobotron Usually I can recommend a whole plethora of games to people but I am not familiar with playing on a tablet so I do not know what might and might not work.

      So a few recommendations:
For a fighter you could check out One Finger Death Punch, I believe that has controller support.

For RPGs you could try Legend of Grimrock 1 & 2 and Knights of Pen and Paper 1 & 2.

3rd Person action games you could try How to Survive, Grim Dawn, or the Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing.

I do not know what to recommend for your other genres since most of those I know use kb+m to work well with.

My opinion, even free this game is not worthwhile. You're better off finding your favorite body part and slamming it in a car door until you have to go to the hospital.

My brother has over 4000 hours in Counter Strike and that is how he plays. It's almost like he has some kind of prescience when it comes to moving into position, throwing grenades, and whatnot. That other players just move into the shot lines that he wants so he can kill them.

@sockmonkey I was surprised by how good it was actually. I think James Franco nailed his portrayal of Tommy W.

@auspice Its not really a problem for me. It's just a trend that I've noticed and it confuses me as to why this is a trend.
