I can and will happily start planning. I have the spare time during my breaks and evenings and weekends. I have someone who will happily fund a coder, fund the server (I know a few who will). If folks are willing to commit, to doing this, then I will start the ball rolling.

New Kushiel Game
Since we have set some things finally in concrete - and we watched and replied on the boards here and invite a handful of folks to come give opinions and heavily weighed the pro's and cons, debated it on Skype and all that fun stuff - I'm going to drop the forums address here for those who are interested. We are intending to be an alternative option for those who enjoy the Kushiel theme. We will be working through policies, rules, theme, you name it. There is a singular board that is only for moderators, and that is because that is where plot is being dropped to be mulled and tweaked and we'd like to keep that at least, a little hush hush in case any of you decide to play.
http://eluasprecept.freeforums.net
We are going to strive to do our best to take everyone's thoughts and opinions into account. I know that there have been those who are unhappy with our choices, and that is their right to be. We acknowledge that. But we hope too that you can find a home here. We are starting to move forward with the wiki, double checking and triple checking dates, information in the books and ascertaining that we are not accidentally copying information from other previous iterations both active and inactive of the theme.
We welcome you if you see an error, to let us know so that we can fix it. Or if we missed something important. Our goal from this point forward, is transparency where applicable - nope, you still don't get to see the staff plot board! - and to have us up and running as soon as possible. Help us make this a game that you would enjoy playing on. Once we have more things set in concrete, we'll be dealing with hosting, and servers, coding and all that other fun stuff. But baby steps first!

RE: Real World Peeves, Disgruntlement, and Irks.
@insomnia Oh jesus. I beg to not be put on them. Inevitably, once a year I get throw on them because I touched something I REALLY should not have (Or my husband thought a new dish detergent/clothing detergent was warranted and HOLY SHIT MY HANDS BLOW UP).
I sequester myself in the basement, my husband brings me down food, I have a TV and a fire TV and I hide. Because I unhinge my jaw and swallow people whole because they looked at me (I'm seriously not kidding), I'm starving all the damned time but I want nothing in the house. Or in the store. I pace and pace and pace, then cry, then rage, and then apologize for raging, can't sleep. At all. Maybe three hours? Shaking. So much shaking and twitching and it's
I react VERY badly. But if it hits the point that my doctor goes "No choice, you need to" I go on it and we prepare the bunker, so to speak. They are a freaking miracle. But at the same time, dear jesus there has to be another way to make my immune system stop declaring nuclear war. There -has- to be.
Bunny on crack is what my husband calls me.

RE: New Kushiel Game
@Arkandel So what we have settled on, and we're still open to constructive criticism on this, is that the higher ranks - those who are royal/line of success - are NPC held. They will be brought out for scenes as they are needed/requested.
The sovereign ducals, will also be NPC'd, residing within their respective provinces and brought to the city when needed/requested with respect to travel times/season. The lesser step ducals, will be placed as feature characters. These characters will be NPC'd until someone applies for them and has gone through an audition. Should someone decide that they don't like them, don't want to play them, up and disappears and doesn't return for an agreed upon time, the character will be placed back in the roster, to be picked up. Offing them, will be a last resort. Someone is always willing to take up a ducal character previously played, if they're incentivized enough. But those ducals, right off the bat, are not being made available. As we want to offer up the middle and lower noble ranks first and there is room to rise and fall within our setting and honestly, the chain of responsibility means that shit that's going down with a baron, should be dealt with by their comte, and so on and so forth.
That said, our quasi-solution (and we're hoping this works!) Is that while the sovereign ducals are not in town, their appointed //heirs// are, and will be available as features as well, to be the liaison between the ducals and their vassals. Because we all know, you do something wrong and next thing you know, daddy/mommy are deciding that your sibling, or your cousin or what have you is the better person for the seat down the road. This improves on the stability issue, would provide enough incentive to get involved as well, if there's the potential to rise, as well as fall.

RE: RL Anger
@sunny Had that camping. I had a second tent to hold stuff like our boat and oars and pots and llifejackets etc etc. They were unzipping it, going in, getting stuff and coming out. One waddled out with my dish sponge. I got out of my tent and held up my boot and a flashlight and he was like easily the size of a llike a really really fat maine coon, and he was snarling over a -sponge-. Eventually he dropped it and stomped off. Or they unzipped the tent, got in, but knocked over pots. And the sides of the tent (2 person not big) showed them running into the walls and then squeezing out of the opening in the zipper and bolting.

RE: RL Anger
@sunny Yeah. At least now it makes a littel more sense why some of the green but big ones were taken and why ones further under and in the big tangle weren't taken. I can be mad still but can't be -as- mad. The little fuckers live in the sewer just across the street. They pop up or we see them rolling their fat butts and squeezing in. I bet they play in my pool.
OH GOD I BET THEY DO.....

RE: RL things I love

RE: Critters!
@packrat That will be a majestic floof. And that seems pretty par for the course. Ours is the same age and dear god if she does not get her wet stuff at night, she's just attacking ankles and getting in your face and screeching like a velociraptor.

RE: RL things I love
@Pandora Oh thank god I'm not the only one who does that. My husband thought it was weird and "bound to burn the house down" and I just look at him and roast the marshmallow anyways.

RE: Good or New Movies Review
@Rinel You know, that was my complaint too about an otherwise good movie. I was like REALLY, we need to go there? To pointedly have all the females gather in one section and be like "It's cool, we got this, GIRL POWER"
:sighs:

RE: Game of Thrones
@Pandora She's on netflix in some tv show about pre-teen witches at a school.

RE: RL Anger
My spouse is back in the hospital for the third time since december and I am keeping my shit together, my household and our finances together by a shiny fucking thread but I dearly want a break instead of having to be waltzing from one appointment to the next and having our lives ruled by his fucking foot. And I can't just give in because clients depend on me and mortgage don't get paid if I hide in my room and cry for a week.

RE: RL Anger
@Taika didn't even see what you wrote so all good. In my imagination it was cupcakes and rainbows and million dollar lotto tickets.

RE: What do you eat?
man @Dreampipe was talking about it the other week, he tried it. I've been wanting to but funds do not allow!
I take care of a kid who is vegan. She brings her lunch with her, and I keep stuff on hand in the freezer for her just in case. Stocked up with vegan friendly snacks and on fridays everyone eats vegan. I try to match what the other kids eat with what she eats. So if her mother sends her with a vegan hot dog, the other kids get hot dogs, so she doesn't feel strange eating something different. Their sides are all the same because they get the fruits and veggies.
A parent brought doughnuts one day though, the doughnut holes and I felt bad because I didn't have something to sub in for that. But her parents told me to go ahead and give her one, it was okay, they understood raising their family in this way that this would happen and one doughnut hole wasn't going to kill her (It's a lifestyle choice for them as opposed to dietary requirement)
But now i'm trying to find a good recipe for cake/cupcakes because I tried the applesauce subbing and those cupcakes were bricks and horrible and they have birthday's soon enough and I'm determined to have cupcakes for her that are vegan.
But like someone else here says. Meat. Sorry. I love meat. God I love meat.

RE: What do you eat?
@SG Oooh really? Will hunt down some then! I like to keep things around for her for treats and as we transition to potty training, little rewards that I can give both of them for jobs well done!
@kestrel Oooh! Will try those too, they looks like things the toddlers can get on a chair and help make too! Seriously, you guys are great. Far better a resource that Reddit's Vegan sub was. They were too focused on trying to get me to go vegan instead of helping me find vegan adaptations for the toddler.and make her feel included instead of excluded.
