Fuck off with unspecific critical emails sent to the entire team. Just tell the person involved instead of leaving half a department of overly stressed people hyper anxious about your comments. Don't be bringing that shit at me, because I'm not buying what you are selling.

My car broke down, I ended waiting in the cold for a lift home for an hour, and now my arthritis hurts and kept me awake. I still don't know how much my car will cost; it is just out of warranty. Gnah, argh.

Onnneeee more reason I hate grading essays.

I hate marking some essays. There are ones that take me over an hour because of the terrible writing. Others take me hours because, despite obviously being from other sources, I have to identify the sources, mark it up and report them. Some are a delight!

We've just got them to move to online exams for multiple choice!

We're trying to design for people to be playing different games on discworld because that world has different games in it, from Lords and ladies, to cut throat...

It is the balance between populating enough for theme to be clear and safe, and allowing it to go off into the wild, letting players create their story.

We now have a grid, and chargen that (we think) works.

There are a couple of questions I am mulling over (does races actually need to be coded as a group? Does nationality need to be a dropdown? This would be useful for census to not have a dozen spellings of Morporkian.)

I'm less familiar with the system, so would love some people to come and test combat to make sure what I think will work and what works are the same thing.

The willingness from other mu people to share resources and help. Just a shout out to @faraday and @krmbm for sharing resources yesterday, and the people who joined the discord to help brainstorm things (including a new mush player who has come from muds. Be nice to her).

It really does. I said to a colleague yesterday that I keep expecting someone to turn around and realise I don't know what I'm talking about.

And spend so much time teaching it... I was teaching case law around deprivation of liberty and safeguarding yesterday. The students left like rabbits in headlights as they realised they must report shit.

I have no idea what context it is because they changed topics then...

I get to go to a meeting about deaths in my speciality where we will look at them, consider the actions and make clinical recommendations for funding etc. I am very excited and grown-up about this... definitely a Real Genuine Grown-up (RGG) at this moment. The meeting is in London and I am travelling first class because I am an RGG.
