Mine is in kindergarten. You're all scaring me. And to top it off, everyone knows who I am instantly. I'm the only one with blue (was pink) hair.

RE: Dragon Age: Inquisition
@HelloRaptor Oh snaps. But I loved Skyrim.
I think I may need to be story invested in DA. This is my first foray into the series. Also, it could be that I feel massive guilt at fucking around when I have grown up shit to be doing.

RE: Dragon Age: Inquisition
I wanted this to replace Skyrim. Maybe I'll pick up the old games on the cheap and see if that helps.
If Skyrim comes out for next gen though, game over.

@Cobaltasaurus Yeah I get that. I would just eye roll and move on. Most people aren't going to be invested in you education but those who care about you beyond 'cool...congrats'. This could be for varying reasons, people who aren't friends but aquantences, people who you need to spread on toast because they're jelly, people who failed or couldn't go to school and for that we go right back to jelly, etc. Not that it's not frustrating, but know who to bitch to so you don't end up being more irritated than before.
Like, when my ex wants to bitch out of visitation and I tell him he needs to spend time with the baby (I know she's 5, not a baby but she'll still be the baby at 20) Ive learned NEVER say fuck all about school. He's dropped out like 3 times and I think owes something like $20k for no degree and screwed up his GI Bill. Oddly enough, his mom who HATED me in no uncertain terms is crazy supportive.
Negative people are the worst. Haters drinking haterade everywhere.

4.0 is possible. Depending on where you're at, it's not that hard either, but very difficult for other majors/schools. But, in reality it doesn't matter much for most people. My barely graduated best friend is still teaching chemistry in a very nice school district, which was her plan. My honor student chemistry friend? Same. Exact. Thing.
If you're complaining to your friends about the pressure, yeah they're going to tell you to back off for your sanity. Just tell them it means a lot to you, you just want someone to complain to and that they only need to smile and nod. Ask them if they're burnt out on listening to you and don't take it personally if they are.
If it's others? It's a nice way of saying I don't give a fuck about your grades. Or how hard it was. Congrats, don't care. It's rather braggy and offputting.

@Coin Isn't it a rule teachers aren't supposed to use ain't?
Did yall have pagers? We did and one of us had a sweet Zak Morris cellphone. I had a phone with 200 minutes by my senior year. Enough time to call the parents with total lies about where I would be.

I always joke about being SO OLD, but damn, am I actually old? I can't see being a few years from 30 as not young. Even just a few years ago I'd have never dated a 20 something. Records and 8 tracks baby. You don't have kids, you're still firmly seated in your 20s, you're young! Enjoy it!
Your point stands though. It boils down to old people are crazy. I'm starting to see it in my friends. As they start to get firmly into their 40s, there's a shift in thought. Into the 50s, a lot seem to start to drift political and right wing. Quite a few start becoming racist. My friends are getting into their 40s. Their parents are getting into their 60s. Some have siblings pushing into the 50s. My close friends and I have started tracking 'at what age do you become a racist nut job?'. They start waxing poetic about 'in my day'. Well, in my day we did some crazy redneck shit. Do I wish this on my kid? Oh hell no. That's how you get the hep, playing in nasty water. It also meant we didn't actually spend time with our parents. They just turned us loose. Just because we lived doesn't mean it was great. Hey, remember the time we rode 4 wheelers down the nasty bayou and then had to pull one out at 3 am and then we ran and hid from the cops? Yep, sure was good wholesome fun!! o.O
In short, old people are crazy.

I'm sad. I wanted this to be cool but it's not skyrim and I just can't get into it.

In my city, we drive everywhere. EVERYWHERE. There's a small contingent of inner loopers that don't, but we have urban sprawl like woah. You pretty much have to have a car to live here. The cyclists are basically crazy assholes but there aren't that many.

@ThatOneDude You just have it out for the whole region!
@Sunny I claim no real knowledge here. I'm from Texas and I've spent a touch of time on the east coast. I've learned to avoid places that are too overcast, snow, or small cities.

RE: RL peeves! >< @$!#
Are bike lanes the same size as regular lanes? That seems weird to me. Ours are small. Too small for a car because, you know, bikes are small.
Here, bikes do have to obey traffic laws. They have to stop at red lights and stop signs. They often don't so we learned to watch for that. We have a huge problem with the critical mass douches.
But the douchy, screaming, non law abiding Portland cyclist (bikers ride real bikes that go fast and obey the laws less) is enough of a cliche that there's Portlandia segments dedicated to it. Haha. Oh Spyke.

RE: An-E-May
They are doing a live action Black Butler. I'm not sure how I feel about that.

RE: Events "genre" / types.
Where does Strip Truth or Dare fit on the genre list? Make sure you have that one covered.

RE: PRP or SRP
@Coin I trust you. I'm masochistic though. Basically crazy.

RE: PRP or SRP
@Coin I think the plot in grid related areas is a good idea. It sounds really cool actually. And yes, staff should be the ones to tell which is why it's important to have trustworthy staff.

RE: Crafts & Things
I get OPI for $3-$4 a bottle. Wholesale cost. Neeiner neeiner!!

RE: PRP or SRP
I didn't do PrP when I first came to mu*ing. Not until I hit TR. It just wasn't done back in the day like this. It took me awhile to warm to and then after I did, I got burned bad on a few bad plots that put me off of it. 2 were just dropped and never finished. 1 was an ST metaphorically jacking her friends off and another was character development/history than ran on teeth pullingly long. The final straw was the PrP that resulted in living under a house rule that suffocated my death powers.
I found in Mage I could safely ignore PrPs. In vampire they treated them like Metaplot.
I think there should be a happy medium. I would at least like staff oversight. I would like the plot to have actual meaning. Or none could work I guess. Just consistency. And if you just want to run things for your friends, fine. Limit the scope and quit inviting other people on the pretense you don't just run things for your friends.
Also, I feel there should be someone to go to if you're blocked from a plot that is supposed to matter. I'd like to say it's not necessary but some people are some petty motherfuckers.
