@lotherio I saw it, but... work meetings. Bleh.
This makes me sad, honestly. I remember being a kid and seeing him and some of his angrier moments. He was always entertaining.

I only seem to be able to focus on 'fun' things. Other than that, I want to sleep. ...and sleep.
@tek You should totally take pictures of the whole litter. We can all have our favorite contender.
Today, my boss called me out on my ADHD. It's worse in the mornings, it always has been. He knows it. But his boss didn't see me in one of our programs handling cases yesterday, and got up in his face over me. (I was watching mandatory training videos that I hadn't had time to get to before the holidays) So yeah. "You need to focus better. IS there anything I can do to help?" Yeah. Tell my PCP to give me an actual ADHD med?
@greenflashlight Oh no, as a general rule, my boss is AWESOME. He also knew that this time of year Dec/Jan for me is brutal, depression wise. He knew it, he knows it. And when my depression gets worse... everything else starts to spiral, too. The ADHD, the anxiety, and so on.
He also knows I'm trying to get an appointment to try something new, so.. yeah. I gave him the sarcastic line when he asked. He knew it was coming. But he /had/ to talk to me, his boss insisted.
I'm the asshole that will call people out for not returning their carts. "Really? Just gonna leave it there?"
On another note - massive sugar crashes in the middle of the night /suuuuuuuuck/. My boss got a text left for him that I'm not sure was coherent, telling him I may not be up to working today. (I'm not. I'm maybe awake a half hour at a time). Because yes, Boss, I LOVE sugar crashing and making myself useless for a whole day. /s
@buttercup I don't know you, but gods I wish I could be there for you. If just to have someone there. I know how scary it can be, waiting for tests.
As much as I adore my dog, and would love to be able to take him to work with me, as an American Staffordshire Terrier, people are often afraid of him ... even though he's just a big ol' love slut.
If I could be sure he'd just hang out in my area with me and my one teammate? He'd so be there. I would get him his own new pet bed to go under the desk, stash treats and things for him in my drawer.
He comes to all my work meetings now, anyhow. And if he doesn't show up, my boss' boss pouts and calls for him. He's the 'team mascot' now, apparently.
@wretched What the hell did I ever do to you?! Why you callin' me out like this, man! We're in public!
@wretched I second this. You guys have made me feel so much... Well, I guess - less freakish? It's really nice knowing people who have some of the same exact issues as I do.
Annnnnnnnd I just got a tag team call from HR, because my boss' boss decided that I needed to have HR in my face.
I straight up told the 2 people from HR, "Look, I have ADHD. Executive dysfunction happens some mornings. I'm trying, but working from home can make it hard."
So now I have a bunch of links and bullshit.
@too-old-for-this Thank you, for standing up for your son. For understanding what he's going through.
My father just called me lazy and stupid.
@cobalt Sending you invisible hugs and energy.
I have a drs appt on Weds. I NEED something for my ADHD, my exec. dysfunction is out of control, I need several other meds adjusted...
I'm just terrified I'm going to be stonewalled.
@too-old-for-this I would get in trouble for even having my walkman on me BETWEEN classes. Like, having the headphones on my head, even though they were clearly not on my ears (Oh if only I'd had today's wireless earbuds back then. I could have done so much better in school).
The assistant principal would LOOK for me, to try and get me in trouble for having my stuff on me. My stepmonster blew up at her one day. "Is she causing trouble? Is she hurting anyone? STOP CALLING ME."
So somehow the cosigner on my car loan ended up as primary listed with Capital one. She had to file for bankruptcy thanks to Covid.
So Capital One shipped the loan off to be handled by specialists. Who since I was neither primary, nor the person in bankruptcy, kept refusing to verify me to take the payment.
So Capital one came and took the car, overnight, when I didn't have money on top of the payments to give them for fees and shit.
So... yeah. Trying to get a car, and my credit just took a hit, and I've been trying to afford to move.. Meh. One step forward, 6 foot shove back.
Oh hey, ADD, depression, anxiety collision site.
This is not good, y'all.
@derp So...
So could you FEEL me roll my eyes? I did it so hard, it hurt.
@cobalt ...that is some of the dumbest shit I've ever seen. even worse was some of the point prices for dumb shit.
@wretched No, thank gods. All the productivity. i finally finished some thing that had been hanging for weeeeeeks.
