You can say whatever you want, Sao. I know she's friends with Roz, and through that the extrapolation to assume she's friends/friendly with you isn't complicated.

I know some of you claim I instigated by taking long periods between messages - and I did take long times to respond. Because I was at WORK, and my job has surges and lulls, and sometimes it takes me longer than others to respond to things. It was not some wild plot on my part.

I did not post the log, because I made reference to other people in it for examples, and it would not be fair to have them subjected to possible harassment, outside of MSB (where they do not come), etc. And considering there has been more than one person here that were not against the bans told me they have been located and messaged/paged/etc elsewhere, on accounts not linked to their name here or on Mus? I feel completely justified in that concern.

I log in while I'm working. I often page and set thing up for later in the day, or want to be reachable if someone wants to discuss something (not everyone has a discord).

So I spoke to the supervisor. I was green lit to call her last night, called, she had a tenant emergency she was dealing with. I told her "That's fine, sure, you can call me back." (I could hear the commotion in the background. It did not sound pleasant). She calls me before my shift this morning, and yeah. No problem. You sign here, they sign there, boom, you're free to move. No requalifying, no extra charges, nothing.

I am learning to say fuck you to anyone who wants to give me shit or side-eye for going to therapy. so... fuck those people. I think a lot of people could feel better if they had time to just unload about whatever now and then.

I'm thankful for my dog, Logan. It might sound funny to some, but that dog has literally kept me alive more than once, by detecting sugar crashes or spikes. He also very on top of my emotional state, and will all but tackle me when I get upset, to distract me and offer comfort.

I'm thankful for one of my best friends, who is trying to help me keep my car from being repossessed. Thankful to another who ordered me pizza when I hadn't eaten and was so depressed I didn't have the energy to cook.

I'm thankful for my online friends, a lot of them through MU*, but also through League of legends - for making me laugh, making me play, and insisting I'm wanted when the real world is burying me alive.

I just need to say, I love you guys. It's really a relief knowing it's not just me, and I'm not the only one who didn't know it until adulthood.

So today is our gift giving exchange Zoom party at work.
Me being the ball of people pleasing anxiety, knowing how much not getting something you like sucks, seasonal depression - I went hard. I asked multiple people what my recipient likes, and took it and ran with it.

I overspent the guideline, I think, but I blame my ADD for not being able to choose between the candle that donates to animal rescues, and the wine glass that says "Wine and cats, because people suck" . (The feedback I got from everyone, is that she likes wine and cats.)

Then I sent my boss a giftcard to Dunkin', because he's always drinking their coffee like a madman. And my boss is amazing, the best boss I have ever, ever had. He deserved to know, right?

I got my secret santa package thing, and.. well, when you pick it up, it sloshes and feels like a liquor bottle. I told my boss, laughing, and he sounded disappointed.

Then my email went off. He sent me an Amazon gc, telling me he appreciates what I do. I'm currently fighting tears. Honestly the best boss.

@lotherio 104 isn't a bad run. I loved those books as a kid. I bought the mouse and the motorcycle for my sister's special ed classroom. She said there's a kid who wants to read it again and again.

Finally found an apartment, and were approved, and I can start moving in next week!

By the end of today, I should be in my new home, and away from the BS of this one.

ETA: I was wrong. So very, very wrong. Male roommate - who has been rushing the whole thing, threw a mantrum over the ratchet straps I had to hold the mattress atop my car. Refused to help me with the mattress if I tried to use it. (I am too smol to move the mattress alone)

So I went out and rented a Uhaul I couldn't really afford to rent at this point. He shoved all of my things in there, including food from the freezer in an insulated bag. ...and then decided he was too tired to continue, and went to lay down. The truck was supposed to be back last night, but he 'hurt too much' (Mind y'all, I've got an auto immune condition - my vertebrae are literally trying to become one solid bone. Pain is something I know). So I extended the rental with more money I couldn't afford, leaving me pennies in my bank account, but female roommate reimbursed me the extended cost, at least, because they quit on me, not the other way around.

Meanwhile, My mattress, my clothes, my INSULIN - its either in the truck, or in my car at the Uhaul place, or at the new place already. So I get female roommate to take me to my car, so I can at least get the necessities to sleep on their old bed that they will put in my old room as a guest room.

I had to ask him to get my frozen food out of the Uhaul, and put it back in the freezer. He got the bag out, and actually asked me if it needed to go back in the freezer right away, or if it could chill in the AC. ...I can't, y'all.

I am in new place, and my week of being alone here is coming to an end. My friend who is the reason I needed to find a 2 bedroom is moving in on Monday.. and has quit the job she got here in my town which was why she needed to move /here/.

She has another job, remote, pays better, it just..boggles my mind. But she will be here! Logan will be ECSTATIC, because he adores her, and I can finally have plans to arrange things in the living room, etc.

If 90% of your full time employees are looking for or have a second job - you are failing them.

Don't tell someone that 'I know I can trust you." Or 'I know I can give you work and you'll make sure it gets done', and then hamstring them on getting a promotion.

Time to look at other avenues of employment.

I went to the store today (with a list. hahahaha) but when I hit check out, an elderly lady got behind me in line, and had a shirt on that said "Ask me about my ADD or cake. I love cake. What day is it? Is that a..."

Y'all we bonded in the checkout line. She hurried through her small purchase to catch up with me, and we chatted in the parking lot like old pals. Talking about how they didn't diagnose girls for evvvvvvvvvvver.

But I mean.. How can I not love this face?
ETA: And yes, that's his own queen size comforter he 'confiscated' When I was putting a new bedding set on the bed.

I think the problem some players run into, is that they're more than willing to be 'part of the team' like you do in TT, but then they end up in scenes with players who.. aren't. It makes it hard to do anything impactful when someone else is always going in, guns blazing.

My sister teaches kids that read well below their 'age level'. She told me to pick out books for her classroom library for her birthday.

I totally went with Ribsy, Ramona Quimby age 8, and Mouse and the Motorcycle, along with a couple newer ones. Beverly Cleary was about all I read in 2nd grade.

I read a LOT as a kid, so the "classics" like Tom Sawyer, Huckleberry Finn, Wizard of Oz, Black Beauty, etc all stand out, but other things kinda blur

I'm not sure this is in the exact vein Ark is looking for, but...

I had a character dating another one for years. He decided to ask her ICly to marry him, after the other player asked me if that was cool with me. Sure! We got the staff approval, etc, and we actually used the big, flashy proposal to start a little plot arc.

Marriage was going well, things were going on, and then the other player approaches me OOC about them starting a family. My character was the sort of girl who would want that, so I said sure, we could bring it up IC. Yay, marital bliss. We updated Staff and got the okay, and so on. (It was a comic game, so for an FC you need okay to do things like marry and so on)

Then I got sick, and couldn't play every night, and big action scenes were hard for me to focus. (yay trying to find the right med for my ills) . So my girl is pretty pregnant, and her husband wants her to go on a space faring adventure, without knowing how long it would take, how her body might react in space, etc. So she erred on the side of caution and said no, she'd be afraid all the time.

A couple weeks later, the other player comes to me OOCly and says my girl is boring now, and he wants out. He wants to retcon YEARS of IC play and development, because she's not doing action stuff anymore. (She's supposed to be 8 months along, at this point) But in reality, I wasn't TSing him, and someone else was willing to, though I didn't know that at the time (Some mavs made it clear later).

He OOCly threatened me, said he would ruin the game for me, he'd go to staff, and so on. I told Staff the threats, etc. They said he could have the divorce, but he can't just wipe years of my character's RP. So he went to the news board, and posted how his character came out of the hospital, that it wasn't his kid, etc etc. (Which was not supposed to be done, according to Staff decision). Staff didn't so much as slap his hand. They took down the post and said and did nothing. He went on a spree with all his alts (even ones that had no connection to my character), to do his best to ruin any RP avenues I still had left, and Staff did nothing.

So yeah. I'm pretty wary of the IC romances at this point. Communication is huge, but understand if you change your mind, it doesn't mean you should/can ruin someone else's whole thing.

I got a medical accommodation request to be allowed to work from home to deal with some auto immune disease issues. - I've only been working from home not even three days, but the difference is AMAZING. Not a single migraine, my pain levels have stayed way lower, it's just... if this is the new normal, I might be able to do more than work and lay around in pain!

@nessa And if people log onto a game if I ever run one, and don't understand people have RL that comes before RP, and decide the game isn't for them?

I wish them well, but I understand RL > RP. Sometimes when I'm having a shitty day and can't get out to see RL friends, online connectedness is a comfort to have.
