I am so very tired, and emotionally about to overload. I'm tired of having to work two jobs to be able to afford a used car, half the rent for a halfway decent 2 bedroom apt, utilities, and a couple credit cards.

I'm working 2 jobs, trying to help a game, trying to find a new apartment to live in, and it's just too much. The chronic pain has been better, but there are still days when I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

And I'm mad at myself right now, because the brain weasels just told me 'people will laugh at you, because you're not really doing that much'. Now I want to go cry again.

@kestrel See, my stepmom was abusive. Still is, in ways. But it was beat into my head family=everything.

I, logically, know better. But she owns the house I grew up in. She has the few things of my dad's that I want, and she keeps promising my sisters to give me.

And oh hey. My sister just posted a picture of her, my stepmom, and my other sister all together and posing this morning.

As a very small child in school, I didn't have a mom (Bio mom died before I was 4). Then dad remarried, and well, the first time I still wouldn't make her anything. The first stepmom wasn't anything but hot garbage.

Then when I was in like 3rd grade, dad remarried again. At this point, I was a child desperate for maternal love. I made her all the things. As soon as she was married to my dad, I was calling her mom (with her permission). I thought she was the shiz.

Then she had her own when I was 12, and yeah. I ceased to exist other than a scapegoat. Still I tried, and doubled down on the fucking holiday.

This has been ongoing ever since. Then my dad died, and after a short period of spilling her guts to me often, well, she pretty much ignores me unless she needs something. I haven't spoken to her at all since her mother's funeral in October. I've tried. I've called, sent her a card, and called some more. She ignored thanksgiving, Christmas, etc.

I should know better, but I don't. I still called her yesterday. Yesterday being her birthday. If she had called me back, I would have run out and gotten her a card and flowers and driven the hour to bring them to her.

Instead, I got ME some flowers. Because I deserve them too. Fuck it.

I too, had an anger issue. I was a little raging Wolverine, at times when I got pushed too far. (who knew being abused would make me lash out. /s ) (That is obviously not her reason.)

But yeah. I remember some guy was starting with my older brother, when I was out with him somewhere. Getting in his face, and my brother was trying to defuse the whole thing, and telling the dude he was there with his little sister, his beef would have to wait.

I was 12 at the time, my brother was 17. I was like.. 4'7" ish? (I didn't hit five foot until junior year of high school) I marched up, because the guy was talking shit, saying my brother was a liar and just a chicken.

I may have taken it upon myself to slide right between them...and punch the dude in the goods. And then slapped him when he hunched over. My brother was shocked, speechless. All the other guys around? DYING with laughter. My brother's friends thought I was the best little bitch around, lemme tell you. I hung out with them a LOT, and didn't realize them all adopting me wasn't normal for a 12 year old with a bunch of teenagers.

But yeah. I hope girl unleashes righteous fury, if they don't leave boy alone. Siblings can pick on each other, but should fight like hell if anyone else does.

ETA: Jesus I haven't thought of that incident in years. I'm gonna go call my brother now. I have no idea why I'm all teary eyed.

Compression gloves did not much. So after hours in an Urgent care, I am now in a splint that makes everything a million times harder, but my thumb is immobile. Of course, it's my dominant hand, too
