I am sorry if I am contributing to this feeling lately. I know that you are not blaming anyone, but I am happy that you are involved with my stuff; I am just having a tough time right now, myself, and that is including following up with people.

going to go do something to maintain notes on a thing and finding out someone already did it and did it better than I could have.

I especially love it because I think it is because they are excited about this thing, that I hooked them into, and that is just lovely.

(Yes, this also turned into a humble brag. sorry not sorry.)

@mietze Yeah, it has been stated that while there will be some plots and GM-stuff that involve non-magic characters, that the metaplot is more focused on magic users.

@thenomain sure. As I said, if you want to say that Spirit Lake's playerbase is made from some high-profile Arx players, that is fair. I won't disagree. I just think the way you worded it made it sound like staff was shared between the games and I wanted to fix that impression.

I feel the need to correct this, at least. Of the two head staffers on SL, one never played Arx. One has played Arx intermittently? The storytelling staffer has never played Arx. Maybe you could call the two AppStaffers and some of the players Arx insiders, sure, depending on your definition.

(Like do I count as an Arx insider? idk, I definitely don't feel like it.)

@thenomain you are right that there is probably an over exuberance, probably, to defend things that we like. and probably also just a lot of miscommunication around this whole topic.

i'm not asking you to prostrate yourself, theno. i'm really not. i don't wanna vent about you. i just don't think you understand how some of your posts have come off implying that people are horrible staffers. and if you think so, i mean, you can. but they are my friends and i am always gonna disagree.

(so everyone can take anything i say with a grain of salt, ofc. because i am not hiding that they are my friends.)
