@auspice I will say this. The DSC saved me from the overspending on products that get price-jacked beyond belief for women. I will recommend getting the shave butter to go with the razor (though it DOES have a moisture strip on it!), if only because it has worked far, far better than any shaving soap, cream, spray, etc. that I have found. And it doesn't take much, like a nickel size dollop covers a whole leg. So the 6 oz bottle lasts for MONTHS. And occasionally they run sales, which make it a great time to grab a few extras so you can just sit on it and just get your monthly razor shipment. Also, if you find you start stockpiling blades? You can defer the shipments for a few months with a couple clicks, then they'll just send you out the next shipment on your usual date the month you tell it to resume. But I've found 1 blade per week is pretty much on par.

RE: Health and Wealth and GrownUp Stuff
@auspice What I've unearthed through some basic searches is that guy razors tend to be geared towards a thicker hair with no real difference in moisturizing aftereffects (since that razorburned, grizzled look is out). I use a men's razor I got from the Dollar Shave Club. Love the damn thing. It works SO much better on my legs and underarms than the girly razors. And the fact that 4 blades with the guy razors is pretty much standard is such a win for me. I have variable skin, its not all super smooth like the women's fashion industry wants to insist, so having those extra blades to come in and 'clean up' behind the first two is a Godsend. The razor handle was $10, I get one pack of 4 bladeheads every month for like $6, and their shave butter is to DIE FOR. My skin feels way better than it ever did with all those stupid girly creams, rinses, soaps, etc. So spread out across the months, I spend maybe $10 a month on shaving stuff and I love it.
Oh. And none of those frou-frou gaggingly cloying 'feminine floral' or 'refreshing citrus' scents. The shave butter has a very subtle but pleasant scent that is unnoticeable by the time you rinse off.

I am finally starting to see some return for my efforts in career searching. I have three interviews lined up with good companies that pay well, one of them is even a salaried position and comes with government benefits!

We recently adopted a pair of Tonkinese cats, siblings. One boy (long hair), one girl (short hair).

We are getting a new second car! Well, used-new. New to us! An '07 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that only has about 10K more miles on it than my '09 Forester.

WORA had a wiki. The WoraWiki. It was, I admit, hilarious. It was damaging, and full of rumors, and as far as I can tell had no lies in it that anyone came forward about (and when they did we deleted the lies, but not the rumors, I realize the irony and that was the point). It was also about the only place people could go to say, "Hey, I remember that game!" or, "What was that game with that thing? Oh, that thing was mentioned here. Huh!"
People knew it for what it was. It was about as an official representation of the community as I am. And it still had some pretty awesome side-effects. Replicating those side-effects as a stand-alone wiki would be great; that the wiki was tied to Wora accounts was even better. Almost no anonymity.
The WORA Wiki also had the BEST collection of terms and definitions for oddball slang we would throw out there, if I remember correctly.
Mav, PHB, Cabana boys, snowflake... all terms whose definitions could be found on the WORA wiki. I was sad for that loss as there are now MUSHers that weren't around for it so still don't know what some of the terms we fling around mean.

@Paris Or this, yes. For all that she's calling people creepy on her Tumblr for 'stalking' her... she's not hesitated to do it herself or have her friends do it for her.

RE: RL Anger
And that is the difference between a service dog and a 'service dog'. You will never see an ACTUAL service dog act up. They're too rigidly trained to their job. Its the same reason I tell my kids anytime we're in public... 'if you see a service dog, don't pet it, don't ask if you can pet it... that's not a pet, that is an animal doing a JOB and it is distracted from that job when you try to ruffle ears or pet it'.
Also, yes, anytime an animal is creating a fuss, management is allowed to insist the person and their animal leave.

RE: A Constructive Thread About People We Might Not Like
@Derp It isn't a matter of trust anymore. By the time you act? It will be too late. The damage will have already been done. That is the point you and your fellow staffers don't seem to understand. By the time she's outed as a problem, she's already wrecked the game for the other players. I don't think you (meaning staff on FH) take seriously enough how much peer pressure and manipulation she and whatever little cadre of 'friends' will bring to bear on anyone that gets in her way. Its all well and good for you to say 'speak up' now. You aren't in the middle of suffering the consequences of having fallen into Spider's bad graces. There's a reason people would sooner leave a game than try to take her on. There's a reason that people have left the hobby after run-ins with her.
I am sorry to the people that stick around on FH. It seemed like a decent game with decent folk, I hope you all can find somewhere else to play when the crash inevitably happens.

RE: Fate's Harvest BETA Live (Full Open Soon)
@Thenomain You're absolutely right in one respect. She did not manage the wholesale takeover that she did on TR. She could have, only she made (as Bond movies love to say) a fatal error. She pissed off Loki and Koi too early. Call it her learning experience. She got better after that.
And my 'hate on' as you call it? Is having watched her across a number of years become the lynchpin that brings a sphere crashing to the ground. She's not a 'game killer' or even necessarily a 'sphere killer'. I can't recall a single time her BS has actually killed anything. Even on TR, the spheres limped along and recovered after she was finally booted. But she is someone who can single-handedly drive away the players you want to keep while simultaneously filling it with her mouth-breathing sycophants (and yes, we were ALL there at some point. Me. You. Bobby Joe. That weird guy down the street who smells like cheese. All of us have taken a whirl on the 'Spider apologist/defender/whatever' train. I could make an utterly terrible town bike analogy, but I'll refrain) and sucking the life and fun out of a sphere until it hits a point where she looks around and realizes there's nobody else watching her be 'awesome'.
HM? That was her test run. So yes, she couldn't pull what she did on TR. But it wasn't any of us that prevented it. You can thank Loki for that one. There was no ingratiating back in at that point. After she'd pissed those two off, she had nowhere else to go because Loki and Koi were the end all/be all in staffing. And even they never actually banned her. They just let her linger on like some malignant tumor until TR opened and she went off to fresh hunting grounds. But.. since you left pretty quickly after the war, I don't expect you to remember any of this. You weren't there for it, after all.

@Thenomain said in Fate's Harvest BETA Live (Full Open Soon):
I would say that we kept her balanced on Haunted Memories in Changeling since we had a lot to do and intelligent players, but I see that as the exception.
edit: Once when she was 'elected' Queen of Autumn, about a third of the active Freehold walked out on her Crowning. Okay, about a third of the Freehold walked out on everyone's Crowning. It's very hard to be a leader when a majority of your flock willfully ignore you. I don't think any of us sabotaged her Season rule, though. None of us went that far. I don't think any, or certainly not many, of us wanted to sabotage the game to spite anyone else. I may not have agreed with or sometimes didn't like a bunch of you, but I respected the effort everyone put in. I think we all did, when the smoke cleared.
If you think she was balanced in Changeling, you neglected to notice the 900+xp she managed to accrue over the course of about 6 months by blatantly abusing the prp system. You failed to notice how she completely took over Autumn, driving out anyone she didn't want there (and some people she DID but who finally got wise to her shit). You failed to notice that the sphere hit one of its lowest points in activity when she took 'office' because literally nobody wanted to deal with her. Dude. She drove away Baron. That guy was chill personified. She still managed to chase him off with her batshit crazy. Staff still did nothing. To my recollection, she wasn't even ever actually banned from HM's Changeling sphere, she just stopped playing because she'd sucked it dry and there was nobody left for her to fuck over in pursuit of her own fun.

Personally I think it's sad that this person isn't being given the opportunity to attempt roleplay with updated behavior.
I'm not a friend of hers, nor do I role play with her, but all patterns aside, there are people in this hobby far more deserving of scarlet letters on the loose who don't suffer the same degree of scrutiny.
I, for one, refuse to partake in this witch hunt behavior.
Have you un-retired from mushing?
Because this comes off as proclaiming the higher moral ground in a race you have no horse in.
Stick to the topic and stop trying to bait.
I don't have to have a personal stake in a game to think its sad that someone is getting the hin treatment.
Now, if Spider is misbehaving? THE BOOT IN THE ASS. I just dislike that she gets all of this spewed hate while there are some definitely rapey/stalky types running free.
There's one reason why I will put Spider at the same level of alarm as those. She ruins spheres. HAS ruined spheres. Not once, not twice... EVERY. TIME. This is not something that MIGHT happen. It WILL happen. Its like inviting Custodius onto a game. You know what he's going to do. She every bit as OOCly emotionally manipulative and as much of a user as any of the 'rapey/stalky' types that you seem to think are more important. Only she will do it to you MULTIPLE TIMES. Because its never her fault, you see. She is a master at getting people to believe her, to forgive her. To give her 'just one more chance'... because really, it wasn't her fault. The 'rapey/stalky' types are pretty easy to spot. They get called out and suddenly nobody wants to be near them. But Spider is a cult of personality. She draws people in. And she keeps them coming back for more no matter how much abuse she's heaped on them. This woman has something like a 20 year history of doing exactly this, on every game she has ever played. There is no 'changing' or 'getting better' for her. 20 years have shown her that all she has to do is bide her time and people like you will open the door.
